PERSONALITY: Kiesly is a kind natured horse. He has great manners while in-hand, but under saddle he can be very strong and forward. He doesn't like a loose feel and responds to leg aids well. He likes to get his energy out and his favorite way to do so is by romping in the pasture, but doing some jumping with Car works well, too.
HISTORY: Kiesly was not purchased for Carrington at first. After Car turned eleven and she wanted to move up in levels, she needed a new horse. She was going to ride a friend's horse, but Louri Aberly, her Mother, had a horse for her. Louri had purchased a three year old Dutch Warmblood that she was going to train for jumping named Kiesly who she thought would be a good mount for her daughter. So, while Car was riding other horses, Louri and her trainer worked with Kiesly in hand and under saddle and got him fit for jumping and a rider like Car. She started riding him when she was actually fourteen and he was five years old and didn't show until she was fifteen and he was six. They've riding in mainly hunter shows but do cross country and dressage from time to time to get well rounded so they can start doing bigger events.
