Sheets of rain fell mercilessly from the sky, soaking the ground to almost flooding stage. Water sailed along the street, barely able to slither into the drains. The rainfall was the worst it had been in months, but not uncommon. Native Brits who were residing in Park didn't bat an eye lid, some of the people from further away looked around a little nervously but weren't too bothered. One male strode through the pooling liquid as if it didn't even exist. His locks were plastered against his skull, droplets rolling along his nose and down his cheek, falling freely from his chin. His jacket clung to him, enhancing the coiled muscles even under three layers of clothing. That, was a worry. As you travel up to his expression, it was enough to make anyone stop in their tracks. The gray oracles were ablaze with fierce, angered flames. His lips were curled into a disgusted snarl, and his nostrils flared in annoyance. Why was he so angered you ask? Well, every day brought him closer to the day he was leaving. His oracles seemed to darken at that thought, anger washing over his intensely handsome face. Suppressing anymore thoughts threatening to expose themselves, he continued toward the bar, a place where he truly felt comfortable and where he could drown his sorrows in peace.
His hand shoved open the front door of the bar, the lingering scent of cigarette's mixed with fumes of the many different alcohol on offer assaulted him. As he stepped into the building, warmth engulfed him. Oracles eyed him curiously, and is some cases nervously. A few regulars nodded their heads in acknowledgement, to which he returned. To those who were staring for too long, he shot them down with evil glares, causing a small group of females to shrink away. His stride wasn't as confident as it usually was, his shoulders were hunched a little and his feet dragged on the ground. He shook his frame violently, splashes of water escaping from various places upon him. Some surrounding idiots were about to protest, but when they caught sight of who they were about to confront, they stopped dead. His lips pulled into a malicious smile, that was how he liked things to be. His shoulders straightened a little, and his hand reached up to swipe the drenched hair from his face, as he made his way over to the bar. His favorite barmaid sauntered over to him when he approached, a flirtatious smile upon her face. "What can I get you then handsome?" she purred, causing Kian to bristle. Any other day, he would have played along. But today, there was only one female that held his attention, and he'd like more than anything to rid of her image in his mind. "Pint please, doll." he murmured, and then smirked a little when she bent over and obviously intended to give him a flash of her exquisite cleavage. Sure, he may be in a foul mood, but who could pass up on that? Taking his drink, he carried himself slowly over to a table in the far corner of the room. Though it was away from everyone, you could still plainly see him. Many eyes found themselves upon him, studying him as if he were a rare specimen. This time, he didn't bother acknowledging them. He took a long drink from the pint, and then leaned back in his chair. He closed his eyes tightly, stress etching over his features. In a little under three weeks, he would more than likely be returning to Wales. Not on his own accord either. His father was coming to collect him, for something Kian had no idea about. Just as his life was getting on track, this had to come along. He had just got his best friend back, and he saw Dafydd as a guardian to him. He was the best Kian had ever really had. And of course, there was Bella. A twinge in his heart made his brow furrow and his eyes open. He had come to realize that he was beginning to feel something for the brunette, something he really hadn't expected. She brought out the good- ish- side to him. Biting down on his lip, his gaze turned to out the window, fixed on the still pouring rain. What the heck was he going to do?

Bella watched as the rain fell without mercy from her dorm window. There was no sign of it letting up, but that didn't faze her. She had come from a place that it rained everyday, with only two or three days of sunshine a year. Samson dozed at the foot of the bed, his rhythmic breathing unable to soothe her today. She honestly didn't know why she was so antsy, but she could take a wild guess at the fact that it involved the Kian. Her feelings for him was becoming slightly more than one that veered towards friendship. Bella also knew that he was leaving in a few weeks, reasons that still remained unknown to her. This wasn't a situation that she should have gotten involved in, because when he left he would leave her, and she would most likely be left with the pieces of a slightly broken heart. She would have to forget the feelings that she had for him, just put up a mask, and pretend to be friends. That was how it usually worked.
Bella put the Muse CD louder, trying to get her thoughts to quiet down, and it usually helped listening to loud music. She started pacing the room, her face a mixture of frustration and angst. In times like these she would have phoned her twin, and gotten his advice. Andrew was still in London as far as she knew, but he also had his new relationship going. Not even his visit could hide the ulterior motives that he had. Thankfully, she had 'forgotten' to mention Kian, otherwise that was one more male that would have been breathing down her neck. Alexi was already being bad enough, but she wouldn't have been unable to take her brother. Bella didn't even think her father would have given a grain of sand if she had told him about Kian. Nope, it was only her sibling and best friend that would have cared that much.
Dammit! she growled, which caused Samson to startle awake with a bark. Somehow she planned on going into town, knowing if she delayed the trip any longer, then she would have a bad case of cabin fever by the next day. Pulling on her paddock boots, the only pair of shoes that were really water proof, she grabbed her coat and car keys. She left dorm quickly, and braced herself as she left the warmth of the place. Instantly the rain attacked her, and left her soaked, even with a few seconds that she was in it. Once in the Land Rover, she turned up the heat, having most of the moisture leave her.
The roads were slick, and she drove at a speed that made her crawl along. The wipers worked furiously to keep the rain of the windshield. Even so, it was nearly to impossible to see even a meter ahead. Bugger the rain, she thought, but relaxed, knowing that at least there would be a reason for her to take her time. Wondering why she would actually risk her neck just for a drive into town, Bella knew that she would most likely be able to escape her thoughts and feelings, for a few hours at least. Or so she hoped.
By the time she drove into the town, Bella had calmed herself enough to enjoy the scenery. People were huddled in coffee shops, others braving the maliciousness of the weather under flailing umbrellas. She noticed a figure enter the bar, a somewhat familiar figure, soaked through. She could have been wrong, but she honestly thought it was Kian. Rolling her eyes, she parked the 4x4, and got out. The walk was short to the bar, but once again, when she entered she was soaked. At least not through all her clothing, but she could feel the chill. Her loose hair dripped, and she blinked to get the droplets out of her eyes. Surveying the area, she looked for the one she inadvertently sought. Where is he? she thought to herself.
She soon noticed Kian, sitting by himself, in a far corner of a room. He seemed pretty angry, but then again, he always seemed like that. Walking across to the table, she noticed a few people bow their heads, almost like they were feeling sorry for her. Another few had scared looks. Obviously Kian had a negative effect on people, as it was mainly in his direction that people were looking. Obviously you don't care about catching pneumonia, she said, her voice serious, And that drink is not going to help you warm up, she added. A moment or two of silence went past, before she spoke again. Is there anything that you can do better than get drunk? Honestly man, it's not going to take away the pain or make the situation better, she went on, obviously feeling the need to rag on him for a while longer.
Why was she being like that? She didn't want her real feelings show so much to make Kian realise how vulnerable she actually felt at that point. The thought of not having him around scared her more than anything. He wasn't a guardian or protector of sorts, but she felt safe with him. That was thing that scared her, especially because she knew of what he was capable. He changed though. He wasn't the same as when he arrived. Then again, she quickly let him know that she wasn't scared of him. Seriously though, can I please take you back to the College. It'll be better than sitting around here, and throwing them back. Your're better than that Kian, you are not one of them, she said softly, hoping that he would accept.

"So much for peace and quiet." he hissed as Bella came to a stop in front of him. Her next words made his bristle, anger flashing in his gray oracles all over again. After her first little lecture, he gave a humorless laugh. "Just because I lost my mother doesn't mean I want a replacement." he growled, taking a gulp of the drink to prove a point. As she went onto speak again, only giving them about two seconds silence, he smiled seductively. "I can think of one other thing I do better than get drunk, but you don't let me try it on you." His tones were implying the obvious, hoping she would get a little flustered by it and leave him alone. He looked at her questioningly, wondering why on earth she felt the need to make as many digs as possible. Since he found out he was leaving, he'd tried to avoid her as much as possible, not wanting to get any more attached than he already was. No such luck though. Even now, when she was obviously angry with him, his stomach clenched just looking at her. He didn't like what she did to him, but knew he had no say in the matter. This annoyed him most of all. She spoke again, in softer tones. His heart twinged and a deep sigh left his lips. "I don't want to go back yet Bella." Then there was another humorless laugh, it was flat and emotionless. "No, I'm not like them Bella. I'm worse. I'm pretty sure none of these have gone to prison, they are just hopeless drunks. I know for a fact they don't have another person's blood on their hands, but I do. Sometimes I don't even think I deserve to be in here, never loan at the college." His tone was hollow, almost defeated. This wasn't the Kian anyone had ever seen before. Not even Ieuan. He suddenly became aware that he had his eyes locked with Bella's, pain seeping into them slowly. It was as if his true soul was showing through for once, not the bravado he hid behind. Suddenly, something inside him snapped. His expression hardened once again, his oracles becoming distant and unapproachable. He rose silently, suddenly wanting to leave the bar. "Come on then, if you're in such a hurry to get me out of here." His tone was still flat, but his hand found her arm and he escorted her out in silence. He was aware that all eyes were still locked on them, but he couldn't find himself being able to care. As soon as they stepped outside, Kian noticed that the rain hadn't eased up. Pulling Bella into the alleyway which was sheltered, he looked at her once again. His oracles flickered with desire, he knew he couldn't with hold it any longer. For weeks he'd been trying to convince himself that their relationship was nothing more than friendship, but right now he knew that was wrong. It was obvious to him now that he liked her more than a friend, but of course he had to leave her. A groan of despair left his throat and then he made up his mind. Well, if this was going to be one of his last chances, who was he to give up on it? His oracles softened considerably as he looked at her again, taking a step forward he backed her against the wall. Usually, this would be threatening. But there was nothing to worry her about his expression or mannerisms. "Sorry Bella, but I really have to do this." he murmured almost inaudibly before pressing his lips softly onto hers. His hands were placed either side of her head, and his lips didn't stay on hers for long. It was all he needed, a shiver of delight running along his spine. He looked at her with a question in his eyes. Did she want him to continue? Would she slap him? A small smirk pulled at his lips when he thought the latter, it could very well be a possibility. Still, he wasn't going to do anything more until he got a reaction. If it was any other girl, caution would have been thrown to the wind by now. But Bella was different, he didn't want to use her like that. Not in the slightest.

Bella stood patiently at the table, listening to Kian's snooty replies. She had the same smile on her face throughout, not really caring about what he was saying. In truth, she was storing each one, and she merely raised an eyebrow at his suggestion. Well, she knew two or three other males that would hurt Kian very badly if that ever had to happen, consensual or not. She looked at him, but didn't really look, she going over each facet of his facial features, remembering each on. Those eyes pierced her soul, his blue orbs causing cracks in every piece that had so half heartedly healed. It was different though. Those cracks would healed themselves once they deepened enough. He was in truth the most beautiful person to her. He made her body react in funny ways when she just glanced him. Her stomach had tightened to an almost unbearable knot, and wouldn't release.
Bella tried to rid herself of any such thoughts that she might have had, knowing that this could only end in disaster. She wasn't supposed to be like this. She wasn't supposed to be feeling this. She honestly didn't want to get that deep into something, but she was deeper than she wanted to admit. Bella could see the pain in his orbs. She saw how broken a soul he really was, and it pained her to the core. This was nothing that she'd ever think she'd see in Kian, but it was soon gone. He had that look on his face again that screamed egotistical ape man.
When he got up, Bella felt as he took her arm, a satisfied smirk on her face. Kian's grip was firm, but didn't cause her pain. There was that gentleness again. He led her out, but she scowled when she saw the sheets of rain coming down. Honestly, couldn't it stop for five minutes. There was only so much water that could be deposited. Bella shuddered at the thought of what the arenas would look like. Kian didn't walk out into though, but towards the sheltered alley. Worry didn't gnaw at her mind as it should have, and it wasn't like Kian was threatening her in any way. There was something in his eyes, something that was echoed in her own.
Slowly he backed her up against a wall, and she hardly felt the pattern of brick work behind her. A small breath caught in her throat as Kian caged her in, but not enough to make her clausterphobia enter the realms of her mind. Why the hell was he groaning? Blood rushed through her head, and she didn't hear what he had to say. He leaned in, and Bella tensed up for a moment, but softened as she felt his lips on hers. He had a honey taste mixed with a faint smell of beer, but there was also that musky taste. She was still in shock as she saw the smirk on his face, albeit small. The kiss was fine, flipping fantastic, but it was the smirk. She raised her hand, and connected nicely with her cheek. She momentarily forget that it was in fact the hand whose wrist was sprained, and groaned in pain. She shot daggers at him as if it was his fault.
That was for kissing me, she said shortly, before wrapping her arms around his waist. And this is to show how happy I am that you did, she said softly, standing on the balls of her feet to reach him. He wasn't that much taller, but tall enough to make a difference. She molded her lips to his. Fire danced in her blood, and a ripple of pleasure ran down her limbs, sending a slight shiver through her.
