Tyler finished his shift with ease, making sure to clock out for lunch. He had been looking for a room mate for a while now, and every time he saw someone that was interested in his spare room, he thought less and less of the idea. The ad in the local news paper had attracted weirdos and strange people. At one point even some old lady with her nine cats. His nose wrinkled in disgust as he remembered the previous day's interviewees. Today seemed like it would be another one of those days, but he promised himself that if he didn't get the right person today, then he would scrapping the idea altogether.
Stopping outside Milly's, he read through the list of people who had responded. There were only two names, and both were female. It wasn't that he had something against women, but he was a self-proclaimed bachelor, and things could get a little messy when he was working triple shifts and coping on very little sleep. Tyler slammed the truck door as he got out, and seated himself by a window in the small cafe. He was due back at work in an hour, and Tyler was glad that he his uniform didn't have any blood on it... yet. Somehow he always managed to return with some person's blood on his clothing, but he did so knowing he saved another person.
Just about then, his cell phone rang, and the first woman cancelled, leaving him to wait for the other. He was an unusually patient person, but some days he just couldn't wait for people. Today was one of those days. Tyler drummed his fingers on the table, and drank his coffee.

Libby sniffed in satisfaction, rubbing her overall covered arm under her nose. She then chuckled, knowing full well oil had just smeared under it. Her pony tail bounced when she spun on her heels and made her way for toward the front reception, bumping her hip into Hayden, her work mate, as she passed him. The male dropped the spanner he'd just grabbed from the tool box, and muttered profanities in her direction. She just laughed, and shoved him again before darting in through the reception door. Libby had been at Park for a week now, and she'd settled in easily. Hayden had offered to take her in while she looked for her own place, and today she was meeting with a guy that could be her new roommate. She hoped so, as she was fed up of living under Hayden's feet. Both her dogs, as well as his four made it more than cramped. It didn't help that Hayden's brother and boyfriend had spent a lot of time there too. Hayden hadn't minded, and neither did Libby really, but it would be nice to have a bit more movement.
She cast a quick glance at the clock on the wall, and then scrunched up her nose. She had to get moving, and fast. She flew into the waiting room at a startling speed, surprising the heck out of the four person family inside. Two teenage boys' expressions automatically lit up when they saw what was on offer, earning a disapproving look from their mother. Libby gave a nervous chuckle, looking down at herself consciously. Did she have something on her? Then she remembered the oil under her nose. Little did she know that they were staring for a completely different reason. Their father cleared his throat and Libby's attention snapped back to him, the two boys completely forgotten. "The car's fine now Mr. Roberts, The battery had died, so I put a new one in. Oh, and there was a little oil leak but it was easily fixed." she didn't go into detail, knowing the family just wanted to leave so they could continue their trip home. "Any problems, you can ring this garage or another local one. There shouldn't be any more though." she grinned, and then bid them goodbye. She needed to get out of these overalls.
The lithe frame slipped into the skinny jeans, and then she pulled on her leather jacket. Usually, she would wear her leather trousers too, but she was in need of new ones. Slipping her feet into knee high biking boots, she was finally ready. The tiny femme darted down the stairs and into the workshop, earning a teasing wolf whistle from Hayden. She spun as if to show off to him, causing the pair to then dissolve into laughter. She had really come to like the younger male, they were definitely on the road to becoming close friends. Calling her goodbyes to him, she skipped from the shop and out into the car park, where her baby was parked expertly. Ignoring what was going on around her, she was completely unaware of two males salivating over her beautiful presence as they awaited for their vehicles to be fixed, she strode to her bike. "Hello beautiful." she cooed, flicking up the stand on the bike and then getting onto it carefully. Turning around slightly, she picked up the helmet which was sat on the back of the chopper. She pulled it on, adjusting it accordingly, and then straightened up again. "Time to meet my, hopefully, new roomie." she mumbled into her helmet, followed my a muffled laughter.
She parked Bessie with perfection, and slid from the seat quickly. She was a little later than when she was supposed to arrive, and was feeling a little bad. But, she wasn't the greatest with time management. She pulled the keys from Bessie and then began to walk toward Milly's, where they'd arranged to meet. As she walked, she pulled the helmet from her head and shook out her shoulder length blonde locks. Her shoulder shoved open the front door to the diner, her fingers fiddling with the buckle on the helmet. She lifted her eyes from the helmet and scanned the diner slowly. She was on the lookout for a male in a Paramedic's uniform. She found him quickly. Walking toward him, her boots thumping against the ground as she moved, and grinned warmly as she caught his eyes. "Tyler? I'm Liberty Howarth, but please call me Libby. Or, I will be forced to hurt you." she told him, only half joking. Not one to be shy, she immediately fell into the seat opposite him and grinned. "I'm not really sure how this process goes, but should we get started?" she asked, still smiling. Her Canadian accent rang out clearly in the almost empty diner, causing a few looks to shoot her way. She didn't notice that some male's gazes remained on her pretty form.

Tyler watched the various amounts of people walking past the cafe. The minutes were slowly ticking past, and as he finished the third cup of coffee, he saw a female getting off a motorbike, and he wondered if this would finally be his prospective roommate. It did turn out to be so, but this chick had more energy than he usually had on three Red Bulls. Pleasure to meet you Libby, he said, and he suddenly forgot what he was going to say.
Okay, so basically you'll be responsible for half of the utilities and groceries. If you have pets, then you buy their food. Um, basically that's about it. I hope you don't mind living with a bachelor? he asked, his tone friendly. Some days he would be working night shift so that was okay, and he didn't mind pets, as long as they got along with his Coonhound. He actually wasn't a fussy guy, and heck he would be a hypocrite if he said that his room mate be neat. He was also one that left things lying around most of the time.
Tyler ordered another coffee, and looked towards Libby, You want anything? he asked her, not wanting to be rude. He had grown up with southern manners, and when he was most rushed that really annoying accent came through. He had trained himself to speak with his New York one, and when he moved to San Francisco, had learn't that one, and that was the one that had stuck.
