HEY THERE DELILAH
what's it like in new york city ?!

His guitar thumped against his back as he ran, two terriers bolting ahead of him in their excited manner. Both had managed to slip their collars, and the boy was now frantically chasing them through town. "HELENA, BOO! GET BACK HERE!" he shouted, flailing his arms like a mad man. The pair weaved their way through the crowd of saturday shoppers, Josh squeezed past not so easily. His guitar hooked on the corner of a shop, pulling him backwards briefly. Huffing in frustration, he skirted away from the corner and darted after the pair who had now diverted toward Willow Lake. With a huff of relief, he followed the pair who were now inside the park. Thank god. They set their eyes on a few other dogs playing together, and took off toward them. "Bugger." he muttered. Helena would try and assert her dominance, which would either work or end up in her causing a riot. He hoped the latter would not occur.
Diving on the growling Irish Terrier, he scooped her up much to her surprise. Boo had made a new friend, and was gallivanting with a mutt. Josh whistled and the canine came obediently, but had an expression of regret on his scruffy face. Grinning down at the dog, he carried Helena and coaxed Boo to follow along to a quieter part of the park. Hardly anyone was dotted around here, and Josh decided that it was a perfect place to play some music. He would be posting something on the notice board soon, about forming a band. A great way to get to know some other students. Music was one thing that brought everyone together, maybe to share their views about it or just to play together. Either way, it was a great way to get to know someone. Placing Helena down, he shrugged his guitar from his shoulder. He leaned down to feel if the grass was damp. It was, but not enough to effect him. Folding himself into a cross legged position, he rest the guitar on his lap as he tuned it.
Grinning as the song popped into his head, he began to strum the opening chords to Use Somebody by The Kings of Leon. As soon as his vocals piped up, you knew the song was fit for his husky, yet enticing voice.I've been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see
Painted faces fill the places I can't reach
You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody
Someone like you and all you know and how you speak
Countless lovers under cover of the street
You know that I could use somebody
You know that I could use somebody
Someone like you
Off in the night while you live it up I'm off to sleep
Waging wars to shake the poet and the beat
I hope it's gonna make you notice
I hope it's gonna make you notice
He looked up consciously, but was pleased to see a few people had paused to listen to him sing. He beamed a smile, which was returned and then continued on with the vocals.Someone like me, someone like me
Someone like me, somebody
I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now, I'm ready now
I'm ready now
Someone like you, somebody
Someone like you, somebody
Someone like you, somebody
I've been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see
He finished up, and earned a few sparse claps. Better than nothing. He nodded his thanks to the various dog walkers and runners. Helena had been sat staring up at her master, like she always did when he sang. Grinning, he placed the guitar aside him and pat his lap. The canine picked herself daintily onto his lap and perched there as if it were her throne. Fussing her silently, he kept his eyes on Boo, who'd found another to play with. The song that had not long filled the park had now faded to silence, and Josh was more than happy to keep it that way.
