Jude leaned against the pasture fence, eying the black creature which was now in the field. He was unsure of what drew him to this gelding, but something had and Jude was hoping it would all work out in the end. Sure, the horse clearly had some attitude problems, his sheet had said so and Jude merely saw some of the bruises the seller had. No doubt they were probably from the gelding, but still, Jude was captivated by the gelding. There was just something about him, calling out to Jude, calling out a steep challenge to the college student.
The ride home from the auction had been a complete nightmare, the gelding despised being cramped in small spaces. In fact, the gelding had freaked out the entire way back, and when they arrived, Jude was forced to hose him before placing him into the pastures. That was also partially a disaster, as Jude now bore a marked that merely resembled a horse bite on his forearm. Looking out at the gelding now, however, he appeared to be a completely different animal. It was easy to see what appealed Jude towards the gelding, he was beautifully built and extremely flashy, enough to turn anyone's head towards him.
Lucifer was trotting elegantly around the pasture, ears pricked slightly and orbs taking in his new surroundings. When other horses got too close, his ears flickered back slightly and his pace quickened. The day was just warm enough that he was out without a blanket, although Jude was unsure of how he would react to a blanket being on him. Readjusting his sweatshirt, he watched the gelding ever so carefully. At one point in his life, people would of said Jude had an attitude problem as well. But he broke through that, and he was hoping with patience Lucifer would as well. His one hand held a lead rope, and in his pocket sat a juicy apple, but he wanted to watch the gelding some more before proceeding further.
