Lily-Mae stumbled as she tore across to the stables where the mare she owned and two out of the three she had slowly gained on loan from the college were kept. She steadied herself against the fence before a grin lit over her features. Her mother constantly said she lacked any center of balance until she was on a horse. It reminded her she had told her mum she would go down to the livery yard tonight and stay for dinner. The thought pleased and displeased her at the same time. The relationship between the two could often be strained, but Lily loved going and making a fuss of the six horses her mum owned and any on livery there. Debut, the little filly foal, was on of her favorites, as were the cute little ponies owned by the young children of the town. Finally reaching the yard, she fussed over Sonnet and Blaze briefly, but didn't stop. For now her attention was focused on Luna. The kooky mare amused her no end, and was the only one who would stand for Lily's state of madness that was normally restrained around equines. She jumped backwards as Blaze snorted over her top, looking down to check that no harm had come to it. She wasn't what you'd call fashion concious, often going out of her way to avoid the trends. But, she was wearing a new, lovely black top with a rainbow, love heart and the phrase 'life is beautiful' that she really didn't want to mess up. It came down almost to her knees, paired with red tights to match the heart and a mid-calf length black skirt. Her feet were clad in the shoes she adored, steel-capped boots in the design of converses. Her mum had given her the shoes for Christmas a couple of years ago and she loved how it allowed her to not wear big paddock boots when she was around the horses all the time.
Entering Luna's stable, Lily proceeded to wrap her arms around the five year olds neck. Laughed echoed around the small space as the mare threw her head up, pulling Lily's tiny frame from the ground. Swinging on to the equine's back, her laughter continued as Luna turned her neck to peer at the girl, the bemused expression was priceless. Slipping down from her back, Lily held out a finger to reprimand the pony who had begun to dance on the spot. Luna shook her head, causing giggles to escape from the girl's lips again. The pony just had to constantly be moving, then she'd be fine. She ignored whatever her owner tried to do to stop her anyway, short of putting her in wet concrete. Blowing an over the top kiss, Lily twisted in circles as she left the stable, a feel of estaticness washing over her. She contained flamboyant movements as she went across the yard though, concerned about the other horses who might not take so well to to her temperament.
Gaining a brush from the tack room, she was soon on her way back to Luna's stable, her arms swinging by her sides as her legs gently skipped. A male approaching the yard caught her attention and she dropped into a walk to finish the short journey to Luna.
