Julian paced the quad by the stables. He knew that his two new acquisitions would be arriving soon, but it didn’t stop him worrying about the two. The two horses were brothers, full blooded brothers, Percheron/Thoroughbred crosses, and the only difference was age and color. Clad in jeans, hot pink golf shirt and black sweater with black loafers, he kept the pace constant. Julian knew that the pacing was going to make someone around the stables insane, and already people were looking at him funny. He just gave them his crazy smile, and carried on with the pacing.
A month into his stay at the College, and already he tried to make friends. Well, people didn’t always appreciate his eccentricity. He played with the leather cuffs on his wrists, and looked at his watch. A rumbling alerted him to the fact that his horses were here. He jumped slightly, and squealed with delight. By now he was anxious to just spend his time socialising with the two large brutes that were his.
Lolly was the first one to be unloaded, and the steel grey gelding pranced at the end of his lead. Next was Izzy, and by heck, he just plodded out of the horse box and looked around. Teddy Bear would have been a more appropriate name than Icarus.
Julian took the lead shanks and thanked the driver. The driver merely raised his eyebrow, and turned back to the truck. Talk about friendly, said Julian, more to himself than to anyone around.

Nikki was sitting in the passenger seat of that truck that was bringing in the horses that were due to arrive at the academy today. She had to, y'see, because otherwise Sin would have torn the driver to shreds. the man was not in a particulary good mood due to that horse. The six year old Thoroughbred cross had been violent from the start, and judging by the banging sounding from withen the trailer, not much had changed on the ride over.
The redhead didn't move as the truck rumbled to a stop at Park, and the driver got out. There were two other horses to unload first, before she had to deal with her crazy palomino. She held bated breath as the banging stopped, knowing all too well that the silence was not a good sign. It meant that the geldingwas waiting for just the right moment to go nuts, wreaking havoc and spawing chaos. It was, after all, what he did best of all.
She watched in the rearview as the two grey Perchon crosses were unloaded. The driver gestured to her, and she got out, walking to the back of the large truck and trailer. She peered in and met Sin's pyschotic gaze, pinned ears, and gnashing teeth. She walked forward and slowly unclipped the gelding. Immediately, he bolted, knowing that he was stronger, knowing the man outside wouldn't touch him. He dragged a stumbling Nikki out, and started bucking and rearing, neighing like a mad animal. Nikki jerked hard on his lead, forcing him back to his four. The horse did as he was told, eyes narrowed, then lunged forward, teeth bared in a bite. Nikki was forced to slap his muzzle away, and swung the lead to make the beautiful animal sidestep, eyes rolling. "Back, you," were her only words, her expression matching the one of her stubborn creature.
The driver had unloaded Adrastos, and the bigger black horse was watching his counterpart with a wary nature. However, he looked over and nickered at the two other, much bigger horse, ears pricked up, as if he was saying. "Hello there. Don't worry, I'm not as crazy as he is. Who are you?" His tail swished behind him calmly.

Julian held Izzy on a loose lead, but kept a watch on Lolly. The gelding seemed to love the antics of a gorgeous palomino horse that was still by the trailer. He trumpeted a resounding call to anyone who would listen. Julian sighed, played with the gelding's lead shank to get his attention. Izzy raised his head, and looked as if he was rolling his eyes at the antics of his brother. At that point Julian wondered if he shouldn't have invested in a mare as well, just to keep the equine testosterone levels down. Julian didn't really count as he was more in touch with his feminine side than anything else.
The palomino seemed to have calmed down slightly, and his owner had good control over the horse. Lolly was still dancing at the end of his line, acting in the most flirting manner. If Julian didn't know better, then he would have said that the horse was gay. You know Lolly, he said to the horse, that the horse you are dancing for, is in fact...A gelding! he said dramatically. Lolly looked at him in confusion, and carried on with his moving at the end of the line. Izzy aimed a well timed kick when his brother got to close, and Lolly looked affronted. No fighting my dear ones, he scolded the horses lovingly.
Another horse had also been led out, this time a black, and he looked just as well as the palomino. He also whinnied a welcome, sounding much more friendlier than the other. This time Izzy was the one to respond. If Lolly had a strong vocal cord, then Izzy was the tenor of the two. He trumpeted out a greeting, deciding to stand right next to Julian to do so. Julian glared at the horse. For the sake of my eardrums, can you tone it down? he pleaded with the horse. Izzy gave him the answer by leaning his particularly large head on Julian's shoulder. Crazy creature, he grumbled, but crazy suited him. Looking at the girl, he wondered if he should offer a greeting. Julian then did so. Greetings. I would walk closer, but I have a fear of losing a limb, he joked with his South African accented vocals. Lolly then charged forward, unable to contain his excitement. Ag nee dammit! Staan stil jou stupid perd!1 he shouted somewhat unsuccessfully at the horse in Afrikaans. Lolly refused to stop until he had reached the other group of horses. Er, sorry about that. I'm Julian Barker. Pleasure to meet you.
1. No dammit! Stand still you stupid horse

Sin glanced over at Lolly, and his ears pinned at the gelding's manner. Apperantly, he saw it as threatening more that anything else, and his body launched itself up in the air of it's own accord, Nikki yanking down hard on the other end. The palomino screamed like a challenged stallion, pawing, then brought himself down, extending a front limb like a Spaniard's horse, his eyes yelling defiance in every manner of the word.
Nikki ignored the boy and his two grey's, obviosuly more preoccupied with her misbehaving gelding. Sin was living up to his name - when didn't he? - and she was seriously beginning to miss Cerunnos.
The Thoroughbred cross pranced at the end of his line, snorting. This seemed like an invite, she guessed, to the louder Perchron, and he charged forward with a purpose. She felt her hand tighten around Sin's lead and pull him backwards, allowing her black gelding to do the greeting. She narrowed her eyes at Julian. "That would be wise. And I must ask you to please tread lightly. He's lit dynamite." Fiery red hair framed her face, giving her skin a pale look. The lift in her chin spoke of years of defending herself of peer-given mistreatment.
