The girl's heart pounded violently in her chest, her hands dug into the soft material of the car seat. She couldn't help but look over her shoulder every now and then to see if they were following. Biting her lip nervously, she reached over to pat Jock who sat on the seat beside her. The canine gave a content sigh, making the girl let out the breath she didn't know she had been holding. Her uncle looked through the mirror, offering her a gentle smile. She didn't return it, instead she carried on looking steadily ahead of her, fondling Jock's audits gently. She was on her way to her new school, a school she knew little about. She knew that is was centered around horses, an animal she'd never experienced up close. She was only attending Park as a mean of escape, she hoped it worked. But she also knew she would try to leave as soon as she felt too unsafe again. The vehicle rattled in distress as they skimmed the corner of a pot hole, causing the femme to jump out of her skin. Her heart rate increased again, causing the dog beside her to lift his cranium and begin to grown protectively. She soothed him with an almost silent coo, but her hands were shaking violently. Taking a deep breath, she leaned heavily against the back of the chair. They would soon be arriving, and she had to work up the courage to get out of the car.
She'd just been told where she would be living, and even been offered some very concerned looks from the receptionist. She left her uncle to talk to her, before darting out of the door as quickly as she had entered. She then walked back to the vehicle, letting Jock out and then decided to try and find her way to the halls. Setting off in no general direction, she kept her speed brisk and her head down. This meant she had no idea where she was going, but at least she wasn't being noticed. She heard the voices of many teens, and they seemed to be growing nearer. Ripping her head up, she looked around frantically. She saw a gated area, her feet automatically picking up into a run. She darted toward the area, and as she drew nearer, it seemed to be a yard. Opening the gate as quietly as she could, she and Jock entered before closing up the gate again. The yard was empty, and checking her watch it seemed to be lunch time. She guessed most of the students would be at the cafeteria. Sighing in relief, she let her oracles fall across the stables. Some horses had their cranium swung over their stall doors, while others were busy munching on something or other in their stalls. Her hand flew up to her mouth when one whinnied excitedly, and Jock began to growl. Charlie placed her hand on her collar and walked him to the far corner of the yard.
The girl was now crouched into a near invisible form. Her tiny structure was so easy to disguise. The one thing that gave her away was the large mastiff sat in front of her, snarling at every little noise. She rest her forehead against his warm back, shivering when a gust of wind assaulted her. Her chestnut shaded locks lifted in the breeze, and she swiped at them agitatedly. She was already regretting coming here, she knew that she should still be at home and getting what she deserved. She truly believed that she deserved the abuse she suffered. Whenever her parents had lain a finger on her, she would make an excuse that she had done something to provoke it. One thing she didn't understand was the sexual abuse, she knew she hadn't done anything that bad. She'd sat in her room for hours trying to think of an explanation to that part of her abuse. At the thought of this, tears had began to well up in her dark brown oracles. Wiping them on her sleeve, she knew this wasn't the time for crying. For one, she didn't want to be discovered. Two, if she was, she didn't want to give the person more of an excuse to taunt her.

Harry had walked up to the entrance of the cafeteria, peeked inside and walked away again. Remii wasn't in there, and neither was Cara. Which were pretty much two of the only people he would have willingly sat with to eat. He sighed and hurried along to the yard, deciding to spend some time with Magick, who was rather lonely now without her filly at her side. Slipping silently through the gate, his eyes lighted on a mastiff seemingly alone in the yard. Looking more closely he saw a young girl who seemed to be trying to wish herself invisible. It was a feeling he knew well, how many time had he wished that a couple of years ago?
Whatever the girl's reasoning, a tall and probably rather intimidating looking - although he most certainly wasn't - male, probably wasn't what she wanted approaching her. Instead he let his footsteps make a slight noise so she was aware of him at least, and let his lips raise into a gentle smile . Hoping he wasn't looking threatening, he shrugged his shoulders as if to say 'if you want to stay in the shadows, I'm not going to worry you', and turned to head into Magick's stable. Removing her head collar and lead from the hook, he slipped it over the mare's ears and led her out into the yard, tying her up outside. To fetch her grooming kit, he would need to pass the girl. Harry slowed down as he approached her, treating her not demeaningly, but almost like a frightened animal. She seemed to be crouching, so he lowered himself down to the ground and sat silently on the ground, his eyes on the floor just in front of him. Perhaps it was the wrong thing to do, but it was what he would do with an animal in the situation.
ooc: dislike it.

Her head ripped up at the sound of feet, and Jock began to snarl menacingly. Her oracles were met by a boy, whom looked much older than herself. But that wasn't hard. Even though she had not long turned 16, Charlie still looked about 13. She put it down to the malnourished she was deprived of as a youngster, meaning that she was yet to hit puberty properly. She hated this fact, she found herself envying the curves other girls her age possessed. It certainly hadn't deterred her father though. Her oracles closed tightly at that thought, banishing the picture of the man that had molested her for years. When she opened them again, she saw that the boy had now turned to a stall. He entered and led out a positively beautiful creature. Her eyes swept over the mare, her mouth falling open into a perfect 'o' shape. So wrapped up in the horse, she hadn't realized that the boy and drawn nearer. Jock's increased snarls warned her and her oracles span around to the boy once more. Instead of passing her as anyone else would have, he slowly lowered himself not far from her. Her dog automatically moved himself between herself and the stranger, his jowls quivering as he increased his angered noises. Charlie did nothing to silence him, with Jock there, nobody would touch her.
Her oracles were still on him, flashing with worry every now and then. She was edging away slightly, until she was backed into the corner. Chewing on her lower lip, she was glad to see that Jock hadn't moved from his position. Still, she said nothing. She peered at the boy every now and then, trying to gage if him approaching her had a hidden motive. He didn't seem to, so she clicked her fingers and Jock shuffled back to meet her. He kept his almost black orbs on the boy though, his tone lifting every now and then if the boy moved just a little. "Jock, quiet." she murmured. The dog silenced, but his cranium was still angled at a menacing angle, his jowls still lifting every now and then in warning. She ran her fingers up and down his back in silence, her eyes now a little more questioning as well as the hint of fear. "What's your horse called?" she asked finally, shooting a look at the mare in the cross ties. She didn't want to know his own name, but the mare completely fascinated her. She did not offer her own name either. She held herself at a distance from him, and her body language still wasn't inviting. He didn't seem to be going anywhere, so conversation seemed to be the only option. The silence was really starting to get to her.
