Colbie stepped into the cafeteria. Her quiet observant nature had made her realise that there was no one that was running the school in terms of keeping the students in their rightful places. She also knew that it was her job to do so. One would always have to do these things. High school was no different to college, except in college they were a bit more grown up about these things. People noticed her arrival and it was just as well.
There was an obvious table that just seemed to shout popular and well, they were looking a tad disorganised. Time for Colbie to put on her show. She went to them and obviously the weaker ones simpered. Some of the more defiant ones stared, but Colbie stared right back. It reminded her to a similar day not too long ago, but that was the past. " So ladies, what's on the agenda, " she asked. Colbie had just asserted herself as the new leader, and in a new place like this...It was easy.

Alex was sitting in the cafeteria. As much as she loved playing around with different herbs and spices and throwing meals together - as she could in her dorm house - but she could never say no to pizza, which was what was on today's menu. It was quite funny, but once she'd got her plate of food she had gravitated toward the table in the middle of the room that seemed to scream POPULAR!!! She had never been one of the in-crowd at her high-school, thus her current problem, and didn't know if she would get accepted at this school either. "I'm Alejandra." She told the girl, whom had asked her name, she was sitting next to. "But please call me Alex." She smiled brightly before picking up a slice of pizza and popping the end in her mouth. She was careful enough not to place herself into the conversations that were going on at the table around her, she wasn't stupid enough to already assume that she had been accepted. She looked up as a girl strode up to the table and spoke. Her eyebrows lifted slightly but she remained silent.

In a slightly better mood, Jay left his dorm room at a leisurely pace. The male felt as if a weight had been lifted from his shoulders after seeing Spencer again, but it didn't mean that everything was rosy between them. It was a start though. Walking down the front steps from Dakota Hall, he turned in the direction of the Cafeteria. It was lunch time, he knew most of the students would be there. He'd already made a place for himself at the 'popular' table. He didn't often converse with the people sat with him, but it was obvious when he was there. Most eyes shot back to Jay. Although he wasn't really wanting to take over the college, he knew he had to make himself known. It hadn't taken long, and the fact that a lot of the students had come from Blue Ridge meant that word got around quicker. Opening the door to the large room, his oracles found the table at the center of the room. There were two new faces there, and he rose a brow questioningly. One he recognized instantly, causing him to pull a face. Colbie Shaw had arrived then. He knew she was coming to the college, but hadn't known that she had arrived yet. Going to collect his food, passing up on the pizza which was proving popular with the other students, he picked up a water and a ham sandwich before walking to the table.
Placing himself down in the seat that had been left for him, he shot a glance at both girls. "Miss Shaw, nice to see you again. Good summer?" he asked in a seemingly pleasant voice. Of course, it was laced with the usual malice he kept in his vocals for this sort of occasion. He wondered if Colbie thought she could just waltz in here and declare the college as her own. It seemed to apparently be the case. Smirking at her naivety, she would have the same challenge as she had had in Blue Ridge against himself and his old partner in crime. His attention turned back to the other girl, this time a friendlier smile upon his face. She didn't have the same ambitious, or what he saw as needy, air about her as Colbie did. He liked that. She would be one to keep an eye on. "Jay Robinson, pleasure to meet you." he said quietly, not offering a hand to shake. Instead he picked up his water bottle and unscrewed the lid, before taking a sip. His oracles then went to the other students at the table, offering them a short nod in greeting. Now that he had arrived, they had seemed to have shaped up a bit. They weren't lounging around as they had been when he first entered the cafeteria.

Well, easy would have been her first judgement, until she saw the one person she didn't like. Jay Robinson. That name said it all, and he annoyed her to no end. Pleasure to meet you Alex. I'm Colbie, she answered the girl. It was pretty funny to see Jay there. She was one of the silent observers to the boy's break up, but then, she would never say anything. Jay had a good side... Somewhere in him. Hello Jay. Summer was good, and your's? she answered back, with just as underlying venom in her voice. No one pricked her nerves more than that one.
She remained standing, her face friendly, but her eyes were observant. Jay Robinson he may be, but don't trust him, she whispered to Alex, just loud enough so that he could hear her.

Alex gave the boy who sat down beside her a charming smile. "Hi Jay." She said as her smile grew. "I'm guessing you already know who I am." She made this assumption from the way he spoke to the girl who had approached the table moments before. She then turned her attention to the aforementioned girl. "It's really nice to meet you too."
She took a moment to survey the room as she broke her pizza to bits. Not that she had it in front of her, the smell was making her stomach turn, it was either the pizza or something else in the room, which was totally unlike Alex as she loved food. She took a bit of the pizza between thumb and finger and popped it into her mouth. Screwing her nose up, she picked up a paper napkin, lifted it to her mouth and politely spat the food into that. "Okay, I might lay off the pizza."
She couldn't help but laugh as Colbie's next words. "I'll remember that, thanks." She replied with a nod.

He chuckled as Colbie hit back with the same venom as he used. She grown a little better over the time away from Blue Ridge. "It was so-so." he answered truthfully. He hadn't done much, he'd been mostly busy with Cookie and the pups. Also straightening out Sandy a little, though it hadn't worked. His attention turned back to Alex, nodding when she assumed he knew whom she was. He watched as both her and Colbie conversed briefly before she turned back to her food. He'd began speaking to the girl on the other side of him, but his oracles were still on Alex. He saw how her expression changed when she placed the pizza into her mouth, and then quickly spat it back out. Cocking his head in an interested fashion, he forced a chuckle at her words. Something was up with that girl, he could already tell. Deciding he would keep a closer eye that he'd thought, he knew he would get to the bottom of it soon.
Colbie, not one to stay silent for long, then decided to try and get Alex on her side. He rolled his oracles at what she said, and then rose a brow when Alex laughed. No other reaction was given. He'd heard that many times that it didn't bother him any longer. "Colbie, you're going to have to try harder than that. If that is your tactic, try and get everyone against me, to try and take the queen bee crown you may as well give up now." he said, smirking as he did so. He wondered if he could use her as a little puppet. She may be head strong, but not as much as Andie had been at BRRA. If he really put his mind to it, he could rule the college. Make her feel like she was doing it all. His smirk grew, but he kept his thoughts to himself. That may be something to think about. The one problem was, now with Spencer back in his life, would he soften again? He made a promise to himself that he wouldn't. Well, not too much anyway.

Aaron entered the cafeteria, his eyes slowly moving over each and every student in the room. Said students rather ranged in looks and, he could tell from a brief look, personality and status. Purchasing a sandwich and coffee, he charmed the woman serving with a slick smile and a few words. Picking up his items, he thanked her most graciously and then made his way over to the one table which was most likely to stir up a reaction.
A number of students were seated there, but it took him just a second to pick out those three which would very shortly become allies or threats. Not really caring which, he slid his muscled frame into a seat alongside one of the females and the male. Taking a sip of coffee, he let his gaze linger on each of the unimportant students, settling on one of the girls who he had first identified as important. Now it seemed she was a hanger on to the girl next to him. His attention switched, but she didn't interest him. The male was the one he really wanted to look at, but he restrained himself. "I would be Art. I'm taking a guess this is the infamous Jay, and you would be Colbie." His eyes focused on the male for the first time as he spoke his name, an eyebrow raising slightly in curiosity. From what he had gathered - and this 'gathering' was damn reliable - Jay was of a similar orientation to himself, albeit with a boyfriend. Resisting the urge to swear loudly at this thought, he instead turned slightly to Colbie as her name left his lips. Somehow his t-shirt seemed appropriate. Rather tightly fitting, it emphasized his muscled figure but this wasn't why he had chosen it. Words were written across it in a bold white font. 'Remember my name, you'll be screaming it later'. Sure you could take a couple of means from it, some more sexual than others, but it was fitting.
Wondering slightly on the response he would receive, he kept his eyes on Colbie, although often flicking to Jay. Drinking his coffee silently, he was pleased with one thing. Art had made an entrance at least.

Colbie gave Jay an amused look. The male didn't her to turn anyone against him, he did that just fine by himself, but she didn't say this out loud. She needed Jay in way to make this take over a success. Without Jay, then well, she might as well go sit in a corner and write on a board "social outcast". You know Jay that I would never do that. In the end it's up to the people themselves to decide. Your're actually quite lovable when Spencer is around, she said. Colbie added the last comment cause she knew that it would push a few buttons. She didn't have time to gauge his reaction, as another male came to sit down by the table. Honestly was this turning into a free for all. Just now the socially deprived would also be joining them.
She raised an eyebrow when she saw the man's shirt, but said nothing. Like all males he had an ego, and like all the other's she could break it down pretty quickly. She wasn't surprised to see that Art knew Jay's name as well as her own. News in these parts spread fast and when it did, either one of the two would be the starter of it. Noticing the male's eyes on her, she stared back. There was no form of feeling in it, but rather one of ultimate skepticism. Can I help you? she asked him, sarcasm dripping from her voice. Honestly, who did he think he is.
