NO,OH,OH,OH,OH shout aloud, screaming loud LET ME HEAR YOU GO! It was only Julian's second day here, and so far it had been interesting. It was late afternoon, just after four and Julian was finished for the day. Walking down to the barn, he happily recited Shakespeare. A horse, a horse! My kingdom for a horse! he said loud enough for people to think that he was mad. Julian loved acting and more so singing. That was his mission for today. To find a horse that he could ride while at the College.
So he entered the barn that housed the school horses. His tall frame wouldn't allow him to ride any horse under 16 hands, as his legs hung down anything smaller and looked ridiculous. The barn was filled with horses, all of them popping their heads over the doors. Hello my pretties he announced himself, before laughing gleefully and carried on walking. The barn office was lower down, and Julian saw that the door was closed but he heard a voice behind it. He knocked on the door and waited for a reply, but struck up a rendition of REM's Losing My Religion while he was.

Ed sat inside his office, running his fingers through his hair. Being in charge of all the horses owned by the college, and all the stallions took up a fair bit of his time, and there was a girl playing on his mind to add to that. He pulled open a drawer from the filing cabinet and took out a folder, jotting a note that the horse was now in use for a certain class. It was pretty early in the term still, and there were still some wonderful horses without riders. It surprised him that most of the trouble-makers had gone earliest, the college owned some lovely school-masters that had received little interest. Shaking his head to clear the thoughts, he flinched when the phone rang. He answered it politely as per usual, knowing this wasn't a phone with it's own line but one that had to have calls patched through from reception. "Hello, this is Ed Hunt, manager of Mason Stables at Park Equine College." The usual words slipped out of his mouth and he listened to what the woman had to say. She had a horse she was selling and someone had recommended she offer it to the college. Making an arrangement to view the horse the next day, he was just saying goodbye the the woman when he heard a knock at the door.
Placing the phone down, he walked over to the door and opened it slowly, wondering who it was. Probably a student wanting a horse, or to know if they could exercise one. "Hello, how can I help you?" His soft vocals were friendly, but didn't sound particularly questioning. This part of the job - sitting in the office sorting out administrative work - could be pretty repetitive.
