PERSONALITY: Awyr is a gentle boy who would never harm a soul. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, and always has an air of complete serenity around him. He seems to pass it on to all of those around him too, it's hard not to be calm in his presence. He is very gentlemanly in his mannerisms and isn't bolshy or pushy, he'll stand completely still when asked and patiently waits for you to be done with whatever your doing with him. As he's so big, and his hooves are massive, he moves with cautious grace that means he is not a clumsy lump like some of the bigger horses are.

To ride, he can sometimes be a bit of hard work. He doesn't really like to go too fast and it takes a lot to get him past a slow canter. But with some work, he's sure to come on in leaps and bounds. He's only like this as he was so rarely ridden at the sanctuary.

HISTORY: Awyr was born at a sanctuary in Northern Wales. His mother was brought to the sanctuary pregnant. The owners soon found out that Awyr was a positive influence on those equines they were having difficulties with, the ones who were nervous and hated contact. But, last year, the sanctuary began having financial problems, and slowly the horses had to be given away to new homes. The ones they could, like Awyr, they sold. It took a while for him to go, but then finally one male decided he'd be perfect for a boy he looked out for. Dafydd purchased the large brute for Kian, hoping that if the gelding had such a positive impact on horses with anger issues, he would help Kian too. Kian was thrilled, though he didn't show it too much, he was just pleased to have a horse for his own.

GENDER: Mare

COLOR: Grey

BREED: Iberian Warmblood

HEIGHT: 16.3 hands high

PERSONALITY: Fflam is as mareish as they come. She’s stubborn, grumpy and fussy. She wants things done her way, and if they are not, then she will do anything to have them done her way. She nips, bites, bucks but never rears. She’s an odd one in the sense that she loves small children, and becomes docile around them. Bring in an adult, and she’s flighty. To ride she is a dream... When she behaves that is.

She has show presence and is loved in the show ring. Her strides become long and smooth. She is beauty and grace. She also loves to run, and once she starts, it hard to make her stop.

HISTORY: Fflam was bred in Germany to a Welsh owner. The first 6 months was as blissful as they could come, but the breeder passed away suddenly, and all her horses were left in the care of her step-son. This son wasn’t particularly impressed, but rather than sell the horses on, he ‘trained’ them himself. Thankfully, the SPCA got hold of the horses before he could do much damage. Fflam was a yearling then, but was adopted by a loving and caring family.

She was pleasure horse and when she was four was bought on under saddle. Fflam wanted nothing to do with an arena, yet after a day in the country she was jumping everything. The mare had a love for going over any size fence and exhibited great bravery. Circumstances however forced the family to sell Fflam and their other horses. When Bella bought Danger, she saw Fflam, and as a gift for Kian.
