PERSONALITY: Where Bella is sarcastic, Andrew is humorous. Where Bella is quiet and brooding, he's loud and out there. He doesn't feel the need to calm down, and thanks to his ADD, can hardly sit still. He always has a smile on his face, and it doesn't really matter what he's going through. He's approachable, but he doesn't have the broadest of shoulders. After about 20 minutes of listening to people whining and complaining, he'll tell them to suck it up, build a bridge and get over it. Andrew is not insensitive, but feels that people really should just get over their issues and move on. It's his motto that he lives by, and you will never see him refer to the past.
Andrew though does have a bad side, one that he hides except to those that know him well. He can indirectly manipulate you, and usually is a puppeteer. It's amazing that he has some true friends, but the rest are all those that are dangled on a string. He does have a short temper, but he prefers not to be around people when he does get angry. It's merely a case of him disappearing into a gym and punching it all out on a bag.
He is highly protective of his sister, but realises that she won't let him live her life. Andrew knows that Bella rebels against everything that he tries to protect her from, and often he blames himself for her having distanced herself from the family. No one blames him though, and that is the one thing that annoys him the most. Andrew feels the need to beat himself up over something, but it is near impossible for him.
BACKGROUND: Andrew's life was pretty normal. His father traveled a lot and his mother was always working. He is the oldest of the family, and about five minutes older than his sister, Annabelle. Where Bella is the rider of the family, Andrew is the sport's person. At four he started karate lessons. He was always kept in the back ground, Bella taking the shine with her riding. He felt neglected and was often jealous of his sister. His father was almost never at his gradings, but almost always at some or other show. Andrew never got it about the whole horse thing.
School had always been easy for him. It seemed that Ritalin was a wonder drug, and it sure worked for Andrew. High school he was an A student, but after he turned 16 his grades started slipping. He managed to survive the accident that left Bella a comatose. He escaped with a few stitches. For three months, he hardly left her hospital room. His life was mechanic, and he can't even remember what went on in his life for that time. Senior year, he had two priorities. Valedictorian and look after his sister. Being a few hours away in Kentucky helped with the one, and the other he achieved with ease.
Then when he went home, he found out that his mother and father were getting a divorce and that Bella had left for England. He got into Oxford, and arrived in England soon after. Andrew thought it was going to be easy, but soon after he realised that he was indeed what they would call in love. Yeah, the guy was great and all, but it just wasn't working for him. He doesn't really know where he's leaning, so he just says he's bi, and he's happy like that.
