SHOW NAME: Spring Dance
BARN NAME: April
AGE: Seventeen
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Blue Roan Tobiano
BREED: American Paint Horse
HEIGHT: 14.2 HH
PERSONALITY: April is very gelding like in her temperament. Nothing fazes her and you can't get much laid back than her. She's not very bright, but she's willing to please anyone. She's also very submissive when it comes to other horses and people, she doesn't want to hurt them or assert her dominance. She's a "Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt" sort of horse and nothing you do seems to surprise her. She's got a very level head and doesn't get frustrated in the slightest. To handle, she can be a little lazy and doesn't always want to move at a reasonable pace. But apart from that, you cannot fault her. She does love her food though and demands that you give her some if you have anything. And she will eat anything. She's a bit of a porker and could do with loosing a little weight, but it's hard not to spoil her. Brooke is working on slimming her down, but her mother keeps slipping the pretty mare treats.
The older she's getting, the less enthusiastic about being ridden she is. She'll go on a trail ride no problem, but to compete she's beginning to become a little bit of a nightmare. She'll do it, but not with the same stamina and speed that she used to. Brooke doesn't mind though, she's aware that April is just getting older and is going to retire her from competing very soon. She'll still remain in Brooke's care though.
HISTORY: April was Brooke's first own horse. The mare was given to her by her grandfather fourteen years ago for a birthday present. They grew up together and are very close. April is the one animal that soothes Brooke, her serene nature is wonderful for Brooke's haughty one. Checker and April are also very close and the pair are often found together in April's stall with April laying down fast asleep and Checker tucked right into her side when Brooke is working with one of her other horses. April is also a firm favorite with Brooke's mother, Lacey, and she is often being ridden by her as well.

SHOW NAME: Buzzin' Around
BARN NAME: Locus
AGE: Two
GENDER: Stallion
COLOR: Buckskin
BREED: Quarter Horse
HEIGHT: 15.3 HH
PERSONALITY: Locus is a pushy boy that honestly doesn't mean any harm. He's quite clumsy and doesn't really have much control over himself yet. He is still very young though. He doesn't really have any manners yet, but he and Brooke are working on it. He's a big baby and can over react at times and is very flighty, it doesn't help that he's quite alert and not much gets past him. He doesn't really like his stall and prefers to stay in the pastures for most of the time, which Brooke doesn't mind. He's big on fusses too and doesn't like it if you go past ignoring him, just a quick pat will do.
You cannot say much about what he is like to ride just yet, as Brooke has only just started with him. He's proved to be a quick learner so far though, and Brooke doesn't think it'll take too long to start on the barrels. But, for now, they are still on the basics.
HISTORY: Locus is Brooke's newest horse, also given to her by her grandfather. He's only been with her since last summer and they pair are still establishing a bond. He's only just been broken by Brooke and he is still very young so they have a long way to go. So far, she is very taken with the handsome stallion and can see a bright future with him.

SHOW NAME: Show 'n Tell
BARN NAME: Quincey
AGE: Seven
GENDER: Stallion
COLOR: Chestnut
BREED: Quarter Horse
HEIGHT: 15.2 HH
PERSONALITY: Quincey has a haughty nature to match his mistress. He's very feisty and doesn't back down easily. Thankfully, the alpha position has been filled by Brooke and he knows his place around her. It's with other people you have to worry. With other horses he's just fine, he doesn't even bat an eye lid. You can be more than sure that he will not harm another equine. With people though, especially men, he's not so good. He doesn't like even being touched by men and Brooke has no idea why. There is no evidence of him being abused, and her grandfather is the only man who has ever hit him and this was because he was getting to big for his boots. Though he doesn't like men, Quincey does respect Brooke's grandfather now. To handle, he has to go the pace he wants to and you cannot rush him. He likes to be groomed though and will stay still for that. He's also completely fascinated by Checker, and loves to snuffle the dogs pelt. Checker isn't as fond of Quincey though.
To ride, he is a sight to behold. The sheer speed of Quincey is amazing to watch and he has secured many 1st places for Brooke. It helps that they work so well together. He adores a trail ride that wears him out though, and would happily stick to the trails instead of competing. The atmosphere doesn't affect him in the slightest, when they are in competition it's as if they are just having a leisurely work out in the arena.
HISTORY: Quincey is the one horse Brooke went out and bought herself. Four years ago, she and Jay were at an auction with their mothers when Brooke's eyes fell on the handsome Chestnut stallion. She knew she had to have him and was completely taken by his arrogant personality. She took him home that evening and they have been together ever since. She worked and worked with him for months and then they were finally ready to compete. And boy did they. The brute has securely made his way into her heart and is definitely there to stay.

SHOW NAME: Secret Desires
BARN NAME: Secret
AGE: Thirteen
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Dark Bay
BREED: Exmoor Pony
HEIGHT: 13 HH
PERSONALITY: Secret is a pain in the arse. She doesn't listen. Ever. She will not co-operate with anyone and hates being told what to do. She's very vocal and will make her disapprovals very well known and doesn't shut up until she gets what she wants. She's terrible for kicking her stall door constantly and doesn't give up, she's got so much determination it's unreal. She will lie down stubbornly when she doesn't want to do things and is awful for biting and kicking, she really is a temperamental thing. She's awful to handle and will not follow you. You will have to drag her most of the time. Her stall manners are appalling, she'll run you straight over if she wants.
To ride, she's as equally horrid. She's stubborn and it takes forever to get her going, there is no winning with this mare. She'll buck and rear constantly, lying down and also rolling. She will take off at random moments and stop abruptly. She's been known to take kids over jumps without asking, just for the heck of it. She's a evil mastermind, you have to be much smarter than herself to get her to listen. Good luck.
HISTORY: As an ex riding school pony, Secret has picked up some terrible manners. She's been in the riding school since a filly, and has been a pain since then. Her owner has finally had enough of her scarring the kids for life and is getting rid of her at the auction. She loves her too much though to just let her go. Bought from the auction by Harry North, he found that he hadn't been able to build up an appropriate bond with her. Brooke has now bought her from him, hoping that she's the perfect match for the grumpy mare.
DISCIPLINE: English, Pleasure.
