We all know that everyday in this world, a horse, and a human, get beaten, starved, their lives made miserable by those they are not powerful enough to stop.
But, sometimes, there is a breakthrough, and that human and that horse will both be rescued. But, the horses don't always find good homes, and can be euthanized. Sometimes a program will intervene, to stop the killing, and horses are saved. Humans will go to orphanages, and while some will be adopted, others will need some help before they are ready to embrace life with a family.
And sometimes, there's a place where these two beaten souls can come together. i Estela Rochs is one of those very places.
This little ranch has a large plot of land in northern Wyoming, and is set on rescuing abused humans and horses and pointing them toward a better life. Each year, students come and enter the grounds. Upon their arrival, they are paired with a horse that will be their partner on their stay here.
So come, dear souls, and find your four-legged healer, partner, in this journey we call life.
