BARN NAME: Marica. It means Rebellious in Hungarian.

GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Black
BREED: Friesian
HEIGHT: 16.1 HH
PERSONALITY: Marica holds the same fiery nature of her owner. The pair are both as bad as one another. Yet, they completely and utterly adore each other. They have glaring battles that would scare away even the most confident of people and horses, there is always a constant power struggle between the pair. They are definitely trying to establish who is boss. But then, sometimes, it can be as if there isn't a care in the world between Marica and Clary, they get on as if nothing has ever happened. With other humans and horses, Marica is the image of a perfect horse. She doesn't step out of line at all, and would never think to hurt another. Around horses, she establishes that she is boss straight away, and then they get on in harmony. It's a good thing that Clary's other horse has no ambition to be top mare. Her ground manners are astounding if she's being handled by anyone except Clary, and even then they aren't too bad. She just throws in the odd nip and trying to escape for the fun of it.
To ride, she's highly strung. And that is for anyone, not just Clary. It's not because she's nervous, it's because she gets so excited. She adores to jump, she just can't get enough of it. This means she can buck and rear if she doesn't get to do what she wants to do, which makes her a handful to ride. When she gets over herself though, she does fine. It's just not very often that she does.
HISTORY: Marica was bred and born in Hungary, by a friend of Clary's father. When Clary expressed an interest in horses, he got in touch with his friend and had Marica sent to them in Spain. She has been with Clary for just under four years now, and is very close to her owner, even if they do have little bust ups.

SHOW NAME: Defined By Zen
BARN NAME: Amaltheia. It means to Soothe in Greek. She's also called Ama for short.
AGE: Seven
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Black
BREED: Friesian
HEIGHT: 16.2 HH
PERSONALITY: Amaltheia is much calmer than her companion and her owner, nothing ever seems to faze her. She just wants to soothe everyone, so her name fits her perfectly. She hates seeing Clary distressed and will try anything to calm her down, Ama is the first thing Clary ever goes to when she's upset. She has never played up, and will let you do anything to her. Wisdom seems to shimmer around her, she is an extremely intelligent mare. She thinks before she does, and would never dream of stepping out of line, She doesn't get bored easily like other intelligent equines though, she's happy to just keep quiet in her stall or in the pasture. She's always up for a game with Marica though, and now Clary's pups too. She knows to be gentle with them. To handle, you couldn't say anything bad about her. She's happy to do whatever is asked.
When you ride her, she has to know what is going on around her before she can settle. But she's not flighty with it, just a little slow when you get started. She is very observant so nothing really gets past her, which makes it rare for her to spook. To jump, she's a dream. Though she doesn't get as excited as Marica, she still loves to jump and you can really tell. Her eyes light up and her audits go forward. There is nothing stopping her when she really gets going.
HISTORY: Ama was bred in Greece. While living there, Clary went to a town show. They were selling various live stock from pigs to cows, sheep to horses. Her eyes fell on the beautiful mare that is Amaltheia and she knew that she had to have her. She pleaded with her father, and when he could tell she wasn't going to stop, he gave in. Ama has now been with Clary for just over two years, and is very close to both Clary and Marica. She's definitely the brains of the three and keeps the two as grounded as possible.

SHOW NAME: Juvenile Delinquency
BARN NAME: Delinquent
AGE: Five
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Silver/Chocolate Dapple
BREED: Rocky Mountain Horse
HEIGHT: 15.2 HH
PERSONALITY: Delinquent is what his name means. He's a troublemaker and honestly cannot help himself. It is thought that he has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), he cannot keep still unless he's asleep. He's not a nasty equine though, he doesn't want to hurt you. He just has to have his nose in everything. He's a sod for escaping from his stall, and his pastures. He can jump very high fences with little effort. He loves to wind up other horses and people, but is also very sweet. He has a thing for humans hair and will latch onto it without warning. He's also been known to do it to his equine companions manes. To handle, he's a handful. He's always dancing on the end of his lead rope and wants to investigate everything. He's not very fearful, but can be a bit of a baby when it comes to other horses. He doesn't like to have them run toward him, he has to be the first to initiate contact. When he's used to them though, he's fine. With humans, he has no problems at all. In fact, he's fascinated by them. His ground manners need some work, he can be a little pushy and antsy. He doesn't calm down per say, but he's easier to work with when he's being groomed. It relaxes him the most.
To ride, he's very much the same as on the ground. He doesn't concentrate very well, and gets extremely excited. After a while though, he calms enough to be able to worked with. He's only competed a few times, and did quite well. The rider just has to work him constantly before their ride. He thrives in the competition atmosphere. He adores to jump and has no problem with any of the heights he's currently faced. He hasn't shied away from one since he first started. He still has a lot of work to do though and has to go over a few basics. He adores the trails as there is so much to do, and so much to see. A lot more flat work is in order though.
HISTORY: Delinquent was bred in Northern England, to a small time but well know breeder. He has been there his whole life up until now. Clary saw his advertisement online, just browsing as she had money burning a hole in her pocket. The beautiful gelding was something she knew she had to have, and his personality just sold her. With his comical nature, he'll be the icing on the cake to her small herd. She cannot wait to start working with him, and getting him introduced to the mares. How will fiery Marica take to him? Will he and the zen like Ama pal up? Who knows.
