PERSONALITY: Chagrin is a bashful mare who falls over herself to get attention. She can be a little shy around you at first, but soon you'll never be allowed to pass her without giving her some attention. She withers pathetically when you fuss her though, ecstatic just to have attention. She's also very, very alert. Nothing gets past her, and she will insist that you show her what is going on. Her floor manners, apart from wanting to get her nose into everything, are almost perfection. She will stand still for you and do whatever asked. Only once has she bitten Lee, and that was because he pressed too hard on a tender leg. Even then, it was more of a nip than a bite.

To ride, she takes things slowly at first. She needs to scope out what is going on around her before she cane relax. After that, she's fine. But if something unexpected crops up, she will freak out. She doesn't really like change. She can be skitterish when other horses are with her too, she prefers to be alone. She gets distracted easily when another horse is riding with her.

HISTORY: Chagrin was given to Lee when she was just a filly. One of his fathers mare had rejected her, and his father decided that Lee was the best candidate to raise her. Ever since, they have been inseparable. They have a very close bond and Chagrin would rather follow him around than stay in her stall. He broke her himself and is still bringing her on a little. He doesn't compete with her, or his other horse for that matter. They are pets and pets alone. He uses them on the trails and has also used Chagrin as a lesson horse when his father offered lessons at his ranch for a while.

HEIGHT: 15.2 HH

PERSONALITY: Hombre has a bit of an anger issue, but he and Lee are trying to work through it. He can be very sweet and gentle, but he then throws himself into a fit of rage. Anything can set him off. Only Lee and Chagrin can ever calm him down. Chagrin is very comforting to the youngster, but she has suffered a few injuries from him. Lee has also, but he is much firmer with the gelding and he seems to calm quicker around his owner. His ground manners are pretty good when he's in the right mind set, but usually he fidgets and steps on your toes.

To ride, he's a pain. He will buck and rear when he doesn't want to do something, but he's only just been broken. He does like the trails though, and will behave on them.

HISTORY: Hombre has only been with Lee for just under a year, the youngster didn't have the greatest start in life. His first owner used to beat him, which has made Hombre the horse he is today. He's never been starved though, but has a few scars over him. Lee is working on his issues with him, and knew he couldn't leave him behind in America, so here he is with Chagrin and Lee. They still have a lot of work to do, but Lee thinks that the the change of scenery will be best for the problematic gelding.
