SHOW NAME: Escape Code
BARN NAME: Cody
AGE: 12
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Chestnut
BREED: Arabian
HEIGHT: 15.3 hands
PERSONALITY: Cody is a very "Been there, done that" type of gelding. Hardly anything fazes him, and he is really calm. Sometimes his attitude has been connected to that of a surfer, really chilled and laid back. There is nothing more that he enjoys than winning, and in an endurance competition he won't go at anything slower than a canter. Try and slow him down, then he starts fussing, and only speeds up. This can be problematic, but his health is such that he recovers quickly.
He isn't one that enjoys being fussed over too much, but a few carrots and petting is enough to keep him happy for a while.
HISTORY: Cody was bred at some or other fancy stud in Kentucky. He was actually intended to be a show horse, but after the farm went bankrupt, he was sold as a yearling to an endurance rider. His talent was discovered when he turned four, after a short race over 5 kilometers, of which he refused to trot and went at a fast paced canter. The vets couldn't believe what they saw. He was certainly a horse that could go far.
For some reason, he ended up in a riding school in Washington, teaching riders the basics. Alex ended up riding him, and the pair took long trail rides, always at a walk, and always with another rider. There was a type of bond between the blind rider and broken spirited endurance horse. They somehow managed to heal the wounds of their emotional states, and by some fate, Alexi learned to trust himself and Cody enough to go out alone. After completing a 5 kilometer circuit in 30 minutes, at a canter, Alexi knew he had to have this horse. His parents agreed, and the pair have been together for three years.

SHOW NAME: The Golden Fox BARN NAME: Foxy AGE: 8 years GENDER: Gelding COLOR: Palomino BREED: Thoroughbred HEIGHT: 16.3hh PERSONALITY: Foxy has lovely kind ground manners, he doesn't fuss often and stays pretty clean out in the field. He loves being groomed, and will happily stand forever whilst you mess about with him. However to ride, a stereotypical thoroughbred nature takes over. All he wants to do is run, or jump, or just do something, anything so long as it's fun. He isn't dangerous with it though, and a more experienced rider can keep a handle on him. It is rare that he will just bolt off, generally he just constantly wants to go and you have to keep his attention on something else. HISTORY: Foxy is one of the only palomino thoroughbreds in the UK, but when he was maturing his male bits didn't descend properly and he had to be operated on to be gelded. His bloodlines are rather impressive though, he was the first foal by the first palomino stallion into the UK, with a great grandsire who is the only all white palomino thoroughbred stallion in the world. So his breeders were rather disappointed to find he couldn't be used for breeding. They sold him on as a youngster and an experienced teen owned him for the next few years, starting him under saddle and getting him experience. She went to college last year though, leaving her parents with strict instructions to find a nice loan home for him. After three homes in a row that haven't worked out, she's reluctantly agreed that her parents can sell him. They've sent him to the auction to be sold, just wanting to get rid of him now.
