Maria grinned as she approached the hospital today. The girls seemed happy to go off to school today, she could hardly believe it had only been a couple of weeks since they moved. It was hard work juggling part-time shifts at the hospital with part-time work at the tack/pet store all within school hours, but it was worth every moment of tiredness to see Cinnamon and Amber's faces when she took the girls down to the livery yard each morning and night to see their ponies. Up the steps and through the automatic doors, she hurried into the little staff room to check the rota. She would be helping on the reception front desk unless any minor injuries came in, or one of the doctors required her assistance. The two doctors at the hospital amused her, they would surely come to a stand-off soon. Sliding into the chair behind the desk, she turned on the computer and greeted the full-time receptionist sat next to her. The older woman lived out-of-town, but was kind enough when Maria was on reception.

Part of her wanted to pace up and down waiting for something more interesting to happen, but she restrained herself to tapping against the keyboard whilst the screen loaded up. Hopefully there would be an appointment or two that she could take, but there was nothing of the sort when the computer finally revealed. Sighing she satisfied her need to be busy by writing up patient notes from yesterday, having only roughly jotted things down the day before as she was in a rush to get to Hooves and Tails. A full ten minutes passed - not that she was clock-watching - and then the sounds of the door finally sliding open made her look up. She waited as a girl approached and showed forwards the bloody palms of her hands, a boy of the same age - from the college she guessed - waiting hesitantly behind. She smiled, neither knowing or really bothering as to why the girl didn't want to use words, and slid forwards a short form to fill in, asking the name, age and address of the patient. Standing, she moved slowly out from behind the desk and glanced down the corridor to see what rooms were available. Spotting one close by, she beckoned the pair to follow and then entered the room, leaving the door wide behind her.

Remii took the form from the woman and filled in the appropriate information. A thought struck her. Scowling, she hoped that the woman wouldn't have any way of informing her grandfather. Otherwise she was in for it. Pursing her lips, she wrote down her address, and then handed over the form. Then she and Harry were being ushered down the bleached corridor, and into an empty room. Looking around nervously, she hesitantly placed herself onto the uncomfortable hospital bed. She hated hospitals, and hated stitches anymore. Watching as the woman prepared, she swung her legs not knowing what to do with herself. Her eyes searched Harry's face for comfort, but still she could not relax. Turning her attention to her hands again, she inspected the now completely blood covered palms. Raising a brow, she hadn't remembered them being that bad last time she had looked at them. Shrugging to herself, she then looked ahead, waiting for the nurse to be ready.

Presenting her hands for the nurse when she had the correct equipment to stitch her hands, she began to shake a little. The prospect of the woman stitching up her hands again made her feel very sick to the stomach. She dropped her hands again, rethinking being so forth giving. She held them now reluctantly at her side, and knew that she just wanted to flee. Her oracles darted toward the door, and her frame was subconsciously edging forward. She froze when she realized what she was doing, but made no attempt to move back. Looking to Harry again, the fear was now very apparent in her deep chocolate coloured oracles. Pursing her lips and shrinking away from the woman, she wondered how much persuading she would need to cooperate. It seemed to be a lot.
