   Lestat parked the black truck in front of the large building. In the back seat was his box full of items that would adorn his desk, and other more miscellaneous items. Only yesterday he had arrived in England, and today he was at work. That was his devotion to his job, and he just couldn't help it. It was how he was. His three horses were arriving tomorrow, and he had still to unpack his various boxes. For one such as he, riding was taking time off work, and then being able to take care of them the best past time. He was also on call 24 hours a day, and he would always be avaliable.
He stepped from the truck, box in hand, and walked into the hospital. Like any other there was the clean smell, and everybody looked business like. A nurse directed him to a large office on the top floor. It was open an welcoming with a warm atmosphere. Lestat was wondering when his first patients would be arriving, but left those thoughts. He started unpacking. Framed photos were put on his desk. Of his horses, and of his parents, while a larger one of his youngest horse on the wall. Lamp and stationary was next. He saw that name plate had been put on his door as well on the mahogany desk. The place was very much starting to feel like home.

Maria hesitantly stopped her truck outside the hospital's staff entrance. The twins were at school, their first day at a new school. So she was sufficiently nervous and distracted already. Despite it being her first day at a new hospital. Wandering up to the top floor - as directed by a receptionist - she found the office of the doctor she would be working under. Knocking gently on the door, she stood silently waiting for it to open.

A computer had already been set up, and Lestat switched it on. He watched as clock ticked, and already an hour had gone by since he had started. Time was moving slowly, and it seemed to Lestat that it was doing so just to tease him. When there was nothing for it, Lestat just sat down, and watched the view. Being on the top floor helped a little, and there were no major skyscrapers that blocked the scenery. A quiet knock at the door alerted him to someone's presence.
He quickly got up and opened the door. A younginsh female stood there, and for a moment Lestat was confused to who it was. Please come in, he said, and moved away from the door, arm extended inviting her in. I am Dr. de Lioncourt. Uh, how can I help you?

Maria smiled warmly at his invitation, unsure if he knew he she was. The male certainly wouldn't recognize her, but perhaps would know that a new staff member would be following his instructions. "Hello, I'm Maria Snow, today is my first day working here, and I was informed that you would be showing me the ropes for a little while?" Her soft tone drifted off questioningly, despite the fact he hadn't seemed displeased to see her, the woman knew from past experience that having to show a newcomer around wasn't everyones favorite thing to do.
She entered the room as he moved away from the door, hovering close to it. Turning away in the momentary pause of speech, she swung the door to it's frame and it closed with a soft click. Facing the male that she guessed was around her own age once again, she felt her thoughts drifting to the girls' father before reprimanding herself. Now was no time to be dwelling on the past, what was done and dusted should stay that way, and after all, a hospital is no place to be distracted.
