search for the answers i knew all alongi lost m y s e l f, we all fall downStaring down at her still bandaged hands, she groaned. Still, it was tomorrow when she could have the stitches removed. Leaving the broodmare barn, she was on her way to her dorm room to shower and just lounge around for the evening. It had been a long day. She was covered head to toe in dirt thanks to Riddle. The mare had thrown her when she had been out on the trails. Thankfully, her hands were still in tact. She could pass of the mud on the bandages as 'tripping' in the fields. The only thing that would give her away was her jodhpurs. This was why she was taking the long route in the halls, ducking behind every possible building so Harry would not see her if he was still about. She looked up to the sky, which was now darkening to a deep purple colour. It was around half six. She should be going to the library to do her maths homework, but she once again was avoiding it. She knew she would be in trouble, but then again, she didn't care. Peering around the side of the halls, she saw that the coast was clear and she made a dash for the front entrance. Making her way inside, glad that nobody was lurking in the corridors, she darted up the stairs and into her room.
As soon as she entered the room, Thyme launched his attack on her. Remii started laughing uncontrollably as he knocked her to the ground and began to shower her face in slobbery kisses. Trying to pry his face away from her, she failed miserably. The large canine was much stronger than herself. Wriggling about, he finally gave up on his assault. He trotted over to Remii's bed, leaping up onto it and curling up in the same place he'd vacated earlier. You could still see the indent from his large frame. Standing up, she chuckled good heartedly and swiped away the slobber from her face. She still had her riding helmet in her hand, and she took it over to the chair and dumped it upon the wooden furniture. Peeling her boots from her feet, she then went to her bathroom. A warm shower was all she needed to wash away the grime of the day, and also to relieve the tension in her back. Turning on the shower, she felt the heat already filling the small room. She peeled of the bandages on her hands, inspecting the wounds closely as she did so. They seemed to be healing well, and there was no obvious trace to give away the fact that she had been riding. Grinning at this fact, she undressed and stepped into the shower. The warmth spread over her body and a sigh of relief slipped through her lips.
Now dressed in old track suit bottoms and an oversize t-shirt, she was sat on the window ledge in her room. Still, her pen had not touched any of her homework. Shrugging to herself, the sound of scrambling caught her audits. Looking down, she saw that Thyme was trying to get onto the desk. Rolling her eyes, She turned slightly and reached out with her foot to push out the chair that was tucked in under the desk. Thyme looked at it, bemused as always, before cluing in and climbing up onto that, and then up onto the desk. Remii folded herself back into the position she had been, and Thyme sprawled beside her. She fondled his ears affectionately, but stared out of the window in silence. Her hands were now re-bandaged. They didn't really need it any longer, but she knew if she left them un-bandaged, she would pick at the stitches. Her mind was unusually silent, and she relished in it. It hadn't been this quiet in a while. Pressing her forehead against the glass, she sighed deeply. On a clear night, she would be able to see the pastures. Riddle and Whisper were out there now, they preferred to winter out where as Flax didn't. Fade was also in, the dark pastures scared her and every noise made her flinch. Oscar would be where ever Casey was. The clouds hung low in the sky though, preventing Remii's view to the pastures. Groaning quietly, she wondered if Harry would come to visit her. She hoped so, other wise she would go and search for him. His company was craved by her now, where as she had tried to avoid him earlier. She couldn't stay away from him too long.

Harry sighed as he watched Remii disappear out of the broodmare barn. He was sorry he had just missed her, but he needed to check on his broodmares. He had just finished feeding Casey and Oscar, observing Remii smothered in dirt returning with Riddle. Apparently she had been riding against doctor's (and Harry's) orders, and he hadn't yet decided to mention to her that he had seen her. He had been in Casey stall when she had arrived at the yard and ducked out of sight until she left. Harry entered the broodmare barn quietly, grinning at the foals. Magick hadn't left the barn yet, although that was his plan for tomorrow when she would be moving down to the Campbell yard. Strega Bianca, her little filly was just about weaned now, and he was rather excited about the prospect of bringing the mare into work. Trinket was his assigned mare for the equine reproduction class, and although he felt some attachment towards the genteel mare, he was glad that other students loved to make a fuss of her. With a belly like a barrrel, Trink only had a little over a month until she would foal, and Harry was rather on the excited side. Pausing at the feed room to collect three buckets, he placed one in each of the horses' stables and bid them goodnight.
Remii would most likely have gone back to her room for the evening now, and he was headed back to his own room. Casey had been ridden in the arena earlier, practising some jumping for the approaching show. They hadn't got much jumping work in since the summer, and although Harry had enjoyed the break after focusing on little else, it had been good to get back to it. Casey had clearly felt the same, showing her exuberance numerous times. Climbing the stairs, Remii was nowhere to be seen, apparently in her room already. He went into his own room and showered to try and get rid of some of the sand which had managed to weave past his clothes during the times Casey had deposited him on the arena floor after bucking a little too excitedly after a jump. The boy reprimanded himself at the memory, okay so the first time he hadn't been expecting the large buck on landing, but the second and third he should have known better, he knew he was capable of sitting it. Pulling on a long-sleeved t-shirt and some jeans that were floating around the room, he creeped downt the corridor to see Remii, knowing full well that boy's were not meant to be in girl's rooms after 6 o' clock. If anyone saw him, his explanation would be that he was checking to see if she wanted to go down to the library, somehow he reckoned she wouldn't have done that pesky maths homework either. Rapping lightly on the door, the sight of his own hands made him wonder how Remii's had fared after her tumble. The girl had been walking alright when she put Riddle away, and when she left the broodmare barn, otherwise he would have rushed to check her rather than staying out of sight. So she wasn't drastically injured. But she might well of pulled a stitch or two, and Harry hadn't decided if he was to confront her with his information yet, he couldn't jusk ask. Sighing he waited for the door to open, hoping she was here and that he wouldn't have to go on a search to locate her.
ooc: Meh, 610 words but it seemed to ramble on a lot. I don't really like it, but it'll get better once he's interacting with Remii.

search for the answers i knew all alongi lost m y s e l f, we all fall downRemii had vacated the window sill and was now laying across her bed. Thyme had also followed and was now lying beside her with his cranium on her flat stomach. She ran her fingers up and down the length of his muzzle, causing him to sigh contently. Sat on her other side were two forms that often followed her around. An ugly, deformed black rat sat glaring at her, whispering the usual things. "No one will ever love you. Harry is just pretending. Give up hope, you're kidding yourself." Beside it, glaring at the rat, was a petite snow white mouse. Her beady pink oracles turned on Remii, a twitch of her muzzle and then she spoke. Her words were much more soothing than her companions. "Don't listen to it, Remii. You know Harry loves you. Otherwise he wouldn't still be hanging around. You know he does, he looks at you in a way nobody ever has before." The girl knew the mouse was right, but the less confident part of her was swayed to believe the rat. Sighing, her hand reached down to swat the pair away. They evaporated into thin air as they always did, and she leaned back again. Thyme had his deep brown oracles on her, concern fallen over his usually dopey expression. She was nearly 100% sure he could see them too. Reaching up to plant a kiss on his nose, she was given another slobbery kiss in return. Laughing, she ruffled his audits affectionately.
Remii froze when she heard the rasping of knuckles on her door. Checking the time from her alarm clock, seeing that it was way past the time Harry was allowed to be here, she pondered who it could be. But, then again, it most probably was Harry. Pushing Thyme off her, she scrambled up right and got off the bed. Thyme followed her to the door, and then pushed in front of her when they reached it. Rolling her eyes, she held him back mostly so she could actually open the door, and pulled down on the handle. Thyme hooked his muzzle around the side of the door and yanked it open. Seeing it was Harry, he launched himself toward the boy and jumped up at him. Remii gave a sigh as she watched the dog, he made more of a fuss of Harry than her at times. Once Thyme had finished, Remii grinned at Harry before holding up her arm as if to tell him to come in. Once he had, she shut the door and returned to her bed. Thyme immediately leaped up, and instead of being sat beside her, he sat on her lap. She couldn't help but laugh, and then pushed the dog off her. He was being very affectionate tonight.
Reaching out for the piece of paper she kept on her night table as well as a pen, she scrawled down a note for Harry. How was your day? Is Oscar behaving? she wrote, before offering the paper to him. She knew that Oscar would be, he always did. Looking back at Harry, she had wondered where he had been all day. Usually she saw him around the barns, and had been quite suspicious when she had been creeping around herself and hadn't seen him at all. Her oracles narrowed briefly, before she straightened up her expression as quickly as it had changed. As she awaited for him to reply to her note, she shuffled back on her bed and rest against the wall. Her eyes were now on Thyme who's head was resting on her shins, and she played with his audits silently. There was a slight air of awkwardness between her and Harry, and she wondered if he knew what she had been up to earlier. She didn't ask though, he would reveal if he was angry with her later. She had no doubt about that.

Harry grinned as the door opened, eager to share the news he had of today, the puppies! But it was slightly marred with worry for Remii's hands, and that he would most likely confront her with the knowledge she had been riding. Thyme instantly leapt on him, and Harry fussed over the dog for a few moments until Thyme's attention was distracted by something else. Chuckling at the dog he came into the room at Remii's unspoken request. Seating himself on the bed next to her, he positioned himself a small distance away so that she wouldn't feel crowded by him, but close enough that she would figure he wanted to be as near to her as possible - as per the majority of the time. His eyes sparkled as he watched the dog bouncing around the room before settling on Remii, again. A note from Remii caused him to grasp around in his pockets for a few moments looking for his pen, finding it lurking underneath some wrappers. His reply was scribbled out quickly, his letters slanting as he struggled to write the speed of his brain. It was pretty good thanks. I was walking round town after work and saw that someone had puppies for sale! I think it was one of the doctors from the hospital.. but I ended up putting down a deposit for two Labradors, and they can come home in six weeks. Oscar is behaving, as always! I think he might be missing you a little though, but he is still over the moon about being with Casey full time, although I don't think he's that pleased with having me. He finished writing and slid his note into Remii's hand, not quite ready to bring up the fact he had seen her yet. Moving a little closer to her, he offered a hug to her, hoping she would accept. He had caught the slight change in her features whilst he was writing, and wondered if she was suspicious as to why he seemingly hadn't been about the yard at a time he normally was.
He mentally shook the thought from his mind, instead saying the words out loud that had been chewing on his mind. "I saw you." His tone was a little clipped, but not harsh, just a slightly questioning statement. No anger seeped into his vocals, although that was a bit what he felt. Not so much that she was riding per say, that caused worry rather than anger, that she would be hurting herself further, doing herself damage. The anger was perhaps more to do with the fact she felt she had to sneak around behind his back to do so. Okay, so Harry could understand her reasoning. He probably wouldn't have reacted well if she had come and asked him if he wanted to go for a ride with her. Which really left him with no leg to stand on, so to speak, to be angry. The brief spout of anger evaporated from the boy as quickly as it came, and he released the breath he hadn't know he was holding. Harry wondered what she would say to it, knowing she wouldn't deny it, and that she would know what he was on about so couldn't avoid it that way. Sighing, he turned to look at her, his eyes almost apologetic.
ooc: hates it.

search for the answers i knew all alongi lost m y s e l f, we all fall downReading what he had written, she grinned at the news of the puppies. At the mention of the hospital, she scowled, but straightened her features once again once the note turned to Oscar. She let out a chuckle at his words, she knew that Oscar would pine for a while, but having Casey around him would be a welcome relief from the unruly bunch he was usually associated with. Patting his arm affectionately, grinning at the last sentence on the paper, she then settled into his arms when he offered a hug to her. Her head was resting against his chest, before she froze as he spoke. Pulling away again, she turned to look at him. She knew something had been up, he'd obviously been watching her. This made her face sour. The only way she had been able to get out riding without being in trouble was sneaking around. He wouldn't like being deprived of his passion if he were in the same situation. She watched as he let out a held breath, and then turned his oracles upon her. His oracles told her that he was sorry, but somehow she found herself not in the forgiving mood. Standing up from the bed, she turned away from him briefly to calm herself. She wanted to speak to him, well at him, instead of having to write it down, and needed to sooth herself to do so.
Turning back to face Harry, her expression was back to a more placid variation. But, there was a hint of resentment that pulled at her lips and around her eyes. "I know I shouldn't have been riding, and I also know that taking Riddle wasn't the best idea, but she hadn't thrown me in weeks. Sadly, today she did. But I'm fine, honestly. My stitches weren't even effected." she told him, holding up her clean bandaged hands to prove it. If they had been damaged, the blood would have soaked the white bandaging, even if it was fresh. Now completely calm again, she returned to the bed. Settling down beside him, her frame leaned against his side again. She felt bad for snapping at him, but something inside her was telling her that if she couldn't trust Harry, who could she trust? Shouting mentally at the voices, they silenced as if they were surprised by her outburst. Strangely relaxed since her little rant, she seemed to have mellowed. It felt good not having to sneak around from him any longer, and the fact that the stitches were coming out tomorrow meant that she could do as she pleased without feeling bad.
Silence hung in the air, as it often did when the pair were together. Thyme's heavy breathing signaled that he'd fallen asleep, his gentle snores a soothing sound to Remii. Picking up the piece of paper she had discarded earlier. Writing a note on it, she realized that she didn't thank Harry enough, he'd helped her so much over the past month and even before it. Thank you for being around to help me Harry, I can't imagine what I would have ended up like if you weren't here. I can just see myself trying to juggle seven horses, and knowing myself, taking on many more. Also, with the hand incident, you couldn't have been more supportive. I'm also sorry for going behind your back, I'll try not to do it again but no promises. She handed the note to him, planting a kiss on his cheek as she did so. A sort of goofy grin appeared on her face, it hadn't been there since she and Harry had reunited quite a while ago now. She missed that grin, even if she couldn't see it. It felt right on her face.
