FULL NAME: Leighton George Winters
NICKNAMES: Lee
AGE: 35
GENDER: Male
ETHNICITY: American
STUDENT OR STAFF: Staff, P.E Teacher
HALL: Dakota
PERSONALITY: Lee is a very laid back male when it comes to everything except what he does best, teach. He loves to see a student with raw talent succeed, and will do everything he can to help them. He's enabled many students to earn scholarships and even professional jobs. He's not harsh in his methods, he doesn't have to be. He does command respect though, if you don't treat him well, he'll do the exact same thing. He has no time for petty arguments.
Lee is a cowboy in all senses. He isn't as old fashioned as others seem to be, much like his father and brothers are. He adores horses and has grown up around them, and his other love being any sport. And by that, he does actually mean any. He hasn't really got a favorite, he enjoys watching/playing/teaching anything. He's very relaxed when it comes to working with horses, and this also shines through when he teaches. He approaches things confidently, though not too much, and will think things through before he acts. There is an obvious sense of wisdom that hangs in the air that surrounds him.
Very friendly and welcoming, he is never one to see the bad side in someone. He always gives a person the benefit of the doubt and blame their moods and actions on a 'bad day'. He almost always has a cheeky grin on his face, and you can always tell when he's feeling a little down in the dumps. He just falls silent and won't smile at all. This is rare though, and even when he is ill he is still happy go lucky. He'll welcome a person with open arms and is very trusting, which is a downfall. Though he is intellectually smart, he can be a little naive when it comes to others. Many take advantage of his generous and giving nature, but usually they are just thankful for his kind approach.
Leighton is handsome, in the rugged sort of way. With soft, sandy blonde locks and big blue eyes, he has a gentle sort of look to him. He has a strong jawline permanently covered in a slight stubble, it suits him well. He's not the most well groomed of men, he's not one of those ones who moisturize daily, take 4 showers etc. He is very well muscled from playing so much sport and working with some difficult horses, and reaches just about 6'4. Surprisingly, he's not a ladies man. He loves the company of women, but would never take advantage. He has had a few relationships in the past, but they ended on mutual agreements. He has never found the person to really capture his heart. Though he doesn't mind too much, he does want to settle and have children at some point, and hopefully in the near future. He's not getting any younger.
BACKGROUND: Lee's upbringing was simple. Born in Wisconsin to a rancher, he'd had to work to help his father and siblings as soon as he could. He learnt from a young age that hard work brought rewards, his father made sure that his three sons and two daughters always had something to work toward. It kept them driven. But Lee was a little different. He liked to help out of the goodness of his own heart. When he was eleven, his parents split up. Himself, one brother and one sister stayed with his father, his other brother and sister went with his mother. It wasn't messy, his parents remained friends. They just knew they didn't love one another anymore, and Leighton would never hold that against them. The divorce probably helped him grow into the man he is today. Despite this, he always remained closer to his father, his father was always his role model. Though old fashioned in his views, Leighton respected his father and would never disrespect him in the slightest, much like his siblings.
Academically, Lee could have gone onto to anything with his life, unless it involved drawing. He is awful at art, and is always the first to admit it. But otherwise, he excelled in school. His love though, was sports. P.E was the one class he would really try his hardest in, and without fail, he would always come out on top. He joined as many teams as possible, and had even stepped in on many occasions in the girls teams if they couldn't find someone. It had been up for much debate, and he'd been forced to wear a skirt to play once before the other team let him participate. He still chuckles when he recalls how enthusiastically he had agreed to that. Once he'd finished high school, and went on to further education to study to be a teacher, he began coaching various teams in his home town, whether it be football, soccer. rugby (even if it isn't so popular in the states) or swimming etc. He just wanted to help others succeed as much as they could.
Lee earned the correct qualifications to teach and immediately dove head first into his profession. Up until know, he has remained in the same school in Wisconsin, creating many well know sporting stars that are seen today. He has always kept his love of horses though, his father had most definitely passed that down onto him, his youngest sister and eldest brother. The three still often would go on trail rides on the weekends, but that now has to stop as Lee is making the big move over to England. He's not coming alone though. Along with a canine and feline companions, he also has two horses coming with him, both of which he cannot bare to be separated from. Lee cannot wait to get his hands on the raw talent the college has to offer.
MISC.:
Jackal. Jackal is a crabby, large ginger moggy that Lee adores. The feline is approaching ten now, and his moods are just getting worse. But Lee loves him, and in his own way, Jackal loves Lee. He is loud, obnoxious and protests about everything you do. But he has a comical nature. He adores scaring Lee's dog, hiding in cupboards and leaping out when Verity passes, or launching himself off the sofa and onto the poor, unsuspecting females' back.
Verity. Verity is a pretty English Cocker Spaniel. The youngster is only three and has been with Lee since she was a pup. Her nature is timid, but she's also very relaxed and doesn't get wound up like the usual spaniel. She's rather laze about than go for a walk. Jackal though, has her on edge so she has become a little skitterish when he is around. Other than that, she's very sweet but will not approach you until she knows you well enough.
