BARN NAME: Question
AGE: Twelve
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: White
BREED: Welsh Pony, Section A
HEIGHT: 12.2 HH
PERSONALITY: He is extremely vain and loves to be groomed. A lot like his owner really. He has a lovely temperament though, adores humans and all other horses. He is an intelligent brute, and adores escaping from his stall. He shall find a way out, and Jay has spent up to six hours trying to get him back inside. Eventually he gave up and Question just wandered back into his stall. The little Welsh pony has beautiful movements and he works well with Jay in dressage.
HISTORY: Question has had a pretty good life. He has been with Jay for five years now and they get on very well. They have competed a lot in Dressage, but not so much anymore. Before Jay had him, he lived on the ranch where he was born. Not used very much because it was a cattle ranch and he wasn't very good at the rounding, the owners daughter used him for dressage. He is trained to be ridden either Western or English but Jay uses him for English mainly.

SHOW NAME: It's Complicated
BARN NAME: Puzzle
AGE: Five
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Bay Overo
BREED: Arabian x American Paint Horse
HEIGHT: 15.1 HH
PERSONALITY: Puzzle is very shy in her nature. She's not one to come to the stall door and look for a fuss, but will wait for someone to be in the stall with her. If she doesn't know you very well, she tends to hide away and will never approach. When she's comfortable, she'll come near in the pastures and has no problem with you being in her personal space. She's quite the show off when it comes to other equines though and is very much a flirt. It's lovely to watch her interacting with other horses, you see the true mare that she is under the nervous exterior. When she really gets to know you, she'll greet you enthusiastically and will want to be with you constantly. She still won't put her head over the door though, she's afraid others will come past. Her ground manners are beautiful if there is nothing there to scare her, which isn't very often. She's scared of her own shadow most of the time. But if she feels at ease in your presence, you're more likely to have her respond and work with you.
To ride, she is exquisite when you get used to her. She's a very nervous mare so most things frighten her. She has to be introduced to everything or you'll never get her past it. She behaves much better when there are other people riding with her, she feels much more relaxed. It's good for her to go on a trail ride with someone else every now and then. She's still very young, and with the Dressage there is still a lot to be done. She's only been shown once and didn't do amazingly. But, she still has a lot to learn. Her strides can sometimes be a little uneven and she's very bouncy. When you learn to move with her though, you'll be just fine.
HISTORY: Puzzle was bred in Germany, and then shipped over to England two years ago. The young mare has been being schooled by her original owners brother. The brother didn't want to keep her though, neither did the owner, and she has been advertised for nearly a year now. Many people flooded to see the beautiful mare, but nobody was taken by her shy nature. They wanted a horse they could do things with instantly, not have to gain her trust. She'd been bought twice and then returned. Finally, Jay who has been looking for a horse for a while, stumbled across her advertisement on the internet. He went to see her and knew instantly that he had to have her. The mare seemed to be taken with him too, she let him make a fuss of her. Now she's arriving back at the College as Jay's new project. The question is, will Puzzle and the infamous Sandy get along? Who knows.
