PERSONALITY: Who said you can't have the brains and the looks? It seems that dear Dafydd has stormed through the barriers of society and proved them wrong. The clever Welsh man has been devoted to his work, teaching and now a principal, since he left university. This has caused problems, but he has to get through it. The intelligent male is always a first to turn too when someone has a problem. As well as smart, he is compassionate man. He will off his sympathy, advise or just a shoulder to cry on. But, this didn't come instantly. He used to be stand offish, didn't like being bothered and was snappy with people he had no patience for.
Although it doesn't show often, Dafydd has a sharp tongue. If you push his buttons, he will hit you back with his words. His softly spoken vocals make him much, much more threatening. He would never lay a finger upon a fly, but only because his words are enough to scare anyone away. But, he is really level headed. He would never unfairly attack someone, he weighs out if they deserve it first.
Serious Dafydd loves to joke and laugh but quickly retreats to his usual ways. One thing you will normally catch him doing though is singing. He's not one of those people who can play every musical instrument under the sun, but he can really, really sing. His husky vocals and soulful oracles will make any woman swoon.
He may look like a ladies man, but he's far from it. Well, now anyway. Women can throw themselves at him as much as they please, but nothing will happen. Relationships just aren't up there with his work. It's gotten him into trouble and has even ruined things hugely for him, but teaching always comes first.
BACKGROUND:
Pre Blue Ridge
Dafydd was born into the small town in West Wales known as Prembrokeshire. His family spoke Welsh, so English is his second language. He has spoken Welsh purely until, except in English classes in school, going to a University in England. The male had a knack for teaching and passed his course with flying colors. Then, a year after graduating, he fell in love and a year after that, they were married. Their relationship was strained, Dafydd throwing most of his time into work. Then, in two thousand and one, Emma was conceived. Dafydd decided it was time to pay more attention to his family. Then, when she was a stillborn, he sunk into depression. Work was the only thing on his mind. Work.
Tragedy struck one night. Jayden, his wife, called him to pick him up after being out with her friends. He refused, claiming he was too busy marking papers, and she drove home drunk. Only, she didn't arrive. Police turned up at his door at 3am. He wasn't worried up until that point. He'd thought she was at a friends house. They broke the news to him. Jayden had died in a car accident, killing three people. She was the driver. Dafydd sunk to the floor and collapsed into tears. Heartbroken, he turned to drink. A tattoo was the only thing he had to remember her. Her parents had blamed him for her death, and taken away all her possessions. Finally, last year he became sober. A new job has landed him in America, a place where he can have a fresh start. The only things he has brought with him are his mare and her colt, and her two dogs. Will BRRA accept their new Principal? Will he revert back to his old ways? God, we hope not.
During Blue Ridge
Dafydd bought a couple of horses during his first weeks at the academy and was content on the horse front. He did very well in his job and helped many students. He kicked his nephew into some sort of shape, and even gained a romantic interest. She knows he's come to the college but isn't sure if she's coming too. But he felt it was time to step down from his job after two years, and the fact that his nephew is having a few problems here has brought him to take a job closer to home.
Post Blue Ridge
Well, he's only been gone a few weeks and doesn't have any of his horses coming with him. But he does have Icey and Cedar. He's happy to be back in Britain, but the memories are starting to get to him already. The male is here to comfort his stressed out nephew as well, but hopes to grab a hold of control over the unruly students that attend Park.
MISC.: Has two tattoo's. His deceased wife's
Cedar. Cedar has now matured dramatically. He's no longer that excitable youngster that cannot keep still. He's very, very faithful but isn't as aggressively protective as Icey is. He can still be very nervous and dislikes confrontation. He also doesn't get distracted anymore and stays firmly at Dafydd's side. He is a Native American Indian dog and is now three years of age.
Icey Icey is a much more laid back dog than Cedar. The older male is more of a gentleman than a young boy. His proud strut shows that he is very sure of himself and could be classed as independent if you hadn't seen how he interacts with Dafydd. The canine adores his master and is very, very protective of him. He is very sensitive to mood changes of those humans around him, which makes him a very good guard dog as he will sit by the person he feels is being threatened and go for the one who is doing the threatening. He'd never hurt someone otherwise and is usually very chilled out, not even batting an eyelid to what is going on around him. He adores Cedar and is like a father figure to the younger canine, he also tells him off when he's doing wrong. Icey is a 7 year old Alaskan Malamute. He's slowed down a bit now, but still has the energy to play with Cedar when he can.
