Although the drive didn't take much more than four hours, Jacqui had spent much of it complaining to herself about the horses that didn't trailer well. Well, Kerry did, but Anabelle was throwing her weight around and making the float swing all over the road. Her mother, who was following behind to keep an eye on the horses, called no less than three times to worry about the condition of the horses inside.

Jacqui insisted that it was like this all the time and she really had nothing to worry about; there wasn't a wind to mess with steering, and no one was on the road anyways. That was the advantage to departing at just after six in the morning - no one wanted to drive then.

Jacqui found herself in the car park soon, and Anabelle seemed to calm down once she wasn't moving. "Mum, watch the horses, please?" she asked, then turned to enter the office. The secretary was kind during the quick conversation. Jacqui exited the office laden down with class schedules, maps of the grounds, and more than a few calendars. Between shows, school-hosted events, and class dates, the papers were varied and many.

Her mum was eager to help unload the two horses, particularly because Anabelle was known to be entirely rambunctious coming out of the float. Thankfully, this time the help was not needed, and within fifteen minutes, both mare and gelding were settled into their stalls and all Jacqui's tack was unpacked, a task that took longer than unloading the horses.

With a kiss on the cheek and a promise to stay in touch, Jacqui sent her mother on her way. It was now time to get to her hall and settle in herself.
