PERSONALITY: First impressions of Mel will reveal a confident, yet nice girl. If you take the time to get to know her, you will find this is probably the best description you can find. The confidence is a mask though, for the genuity of her kindness was often doubted throughout high school, with the 'popular' cliche of students turning against her, convinced she must have an ulterior motive. A couple of true friends stuck by her, her loyalty shining through. The only time she will be caught out is that she cannot argue, incapable of decent snide remarks. So Mel simply tries her upmost to avoid getting into fights, and stay on the good side of people. Her loyalty to her close friends extends in a lesser form to anyone, she is the girl that if you are upset she will come and offer her help, but not force it upon you. She projects a very much 'girl next door' attitude, with a lot of boys being interested in her pretty looks. She isn't the sort to have flings, but rejects most offers in the kindest way she can. It will take a special guy to capture her heart, no one with less than the niceness she offers herself.

BACKGROUND: Born to a working class family in a suburban area of England, her early years seemed rather stable and happy. This was all disrupted when she was around 10 years old, when the domestic abuse her mother was suffering at the hands of her father was revealed. In a somewhat cliched style, herself, her mother and her twin brother - Aaron - packed a single bag each and left. Renting a small house in a village, her life was continually disrupted by the outbursts from Aaron, who never quite settled into life without his father. When the twins were 14, her mother met who she describes to this day as the true love of her life, an unmarried man of a similar age who owned and ran a prestigious warmblood stud farm. Melody was elated for her mother, and of course, the horses. Having been a dedicated 'riding school kid' since she was four years old, living on the stud farm was a dream come true. When her mother married the man the next year, her dreams were realized and she was gifted her first horse. Aaron didn't take so well to the marriage, refusing to take on the Clover surname and sticking to the surname of his father, Gillet. Going to a local high school, she followed her brother to Park Equine College, her step-father having promised the stud farm to go to the child who graduates with the best grades when he retires.
