PLAYBY: Zachary Levi
FULL NAME: Bryce Wiconi McArthur
NICKNAMES: Doesn’t have any (yet)
AGE: 19
GENDER: Male
ETHNICITY: Scottish X Native American (Lakhota)
STUDENT OR STAFF: Student
HALL: Dakota
PERSONALITY: Knows the value of silence and doesn't see the need to fill all moments with words. He keeps most of his thoughts and feelings inside and doesn’t really talk unless necessary. His peers usually annoy him too much for conversation. This is also his defense though, he is afraid to be judged, and is shy to the core. He isn’t sure of who he is, or who he wants to be. So he just stays out of things, which is getting fairly boring. He likes it when other people smile and laugh, and enjoys helping people who deserve it. Fixing things gives him a sense of worth. Whether it’s a squeaky door hinge, a structurally unsound building, or someone with troubles, when everything is right again it feels good. Bryce won’t stand for bullying, he sees no point in harassing anyone, even people that he hates.
BACKGROUND: Bryce’s mom moved around a lot, she was looking for adventure after living on the res her whole life. She found her adventure in a Scotsman who was serving in the British Armed Forces. He was re-stationed every few years, taking the family each time. He grew up around adults as an only child, so he never really learned to act like a kid or talk with people his own age. He fell in love once while living in France (of all places), but it ended. Badly. She was “perfect,” smart, creative, caring, and honest. Apparently, she didn’t think the same of him. She told him she was leaving, no reason, not even a change in her attitude beforehand as a warning. He has since sworn off falling in love with people, so he sticks to the more reliable equines of the world. The only sure thing in his life has been riding. Everywhere he lived he found a stable, no matter how small. He took a few lessons, but he learned more from riding (and falling). The best teachers were the “difficult” ones, the ones with which people became frustrated. He only ever found two people he would call friends though. A friend being someone you would drop everything for or risk anything for if they asked you to. They all met in school in Germany, in Advanced Chemistry. Cal was like Bryce in a lot of ways, and so very different in others. Allie was the girl who you either liked or didn’t, but was nice to anyone. She was tough but didn’t try to destroy her femininity completely. They stay in touch through letters, but he misses them. After all, Allie was the one who found Park for him.
MISC.: Prefers horses with spark, ones that keep you on your toes, but aren’t trying to be mean. The ones with personality.
Has a shepherd/not-sure-what dog named Tallie. Tallie is very smart and wants to learn new things for Bryce and obeys without fault.
He runs in the mornings with Tallie, it helps him to think. Can’t draw, so he’s a photographer. Maintains a love-hate relationship with fairytales.
