FULL NAME: Samuel Taylor Holmes
NICKNAMES: Sam
AGE: 24
GENDER: Male
ETHNICITY: American
STUDENT OR STAFF: Staff, Groom
HALL: Dakota
PERSONALITY: Sam is a very reserved being when it comes to other people. He keeps quiet and sort of blanks out the fact that there are other people around him. He's always been the independent sort, but as well as that he is a dreamer. He would sit in the back of the classroom, flicking through places he wanted to visit most of the time. He was a little bit of a class clown too, prone to playing pranks and coming out with random things that nobody would ever expect. He's a really friendly guy and gets on with everyone, unless they cross him. Then his attitude completely changes. You have earned a enemy for life.
He is fiercely protective over his family, Summer more so. He doesn't like anyone hurting them so you can understand why he was so mad when he found out about Summer's ex-boyfriends. He now makes sure that nobody will hurt her again, hence why he's in England and about to interrogate Chuck within an inch of his life. He doesn't take kindly to lying and has the ability to see through the masks that people place on their features when they do so. He's actually very good at reading people.
Although he's pretty good looking, he doesn't think he is. He's oblivious to the looks that females give him, causing his friends to despair. They do not get why he has all the attention, and the fact that he doesn't even acknowledge it really gets to them. He's had relationships, but they haven't lasted very long. But he does want to be a family man when he's a little older. He adores children and his niece, who his other sister is the mother of, is the one person he spoils the most.
Sam is very good with animals. His quiet nature means that he's easy to trust, and even Digger likes Sam. Although he doesn't own his own horse anymore, he's owned them in the past. He does own a dog though and classes him as a partner in crime. He doesn't mind that he no longer owns a horse as that gives him time to ride the horses living at the academy.
BACKGROUND: Sam was born in Laguna Beach, California. He was the last child to be born to his parents, who already had two daughters. His oldest sister (Summer Holmes) doted on him, but it eventually turned to him becoming her protector. When he found out two past boyfriends had been abusing her, he felt awful. He hadn't even noticed. His family had to do everything they could to restrain him from going after them, knowing he would just get hurt. He finally gave up, but it took him ages to simmer down. He tried to persuade Summer not to become a cop either, but he knew he wouldn't stop that. So he gave up trying. Instead, he kept a close eye on her. But they did have one hobby that they did together was horse riding.
School wasn't the easiest thing for Sam. When it came to school work, he wasn't the most productive. Sure, he was smart, but he didn't have the drive to do well. He was a bit of a class clown and very much a dreamer. His teachers finally gave up, knowing he wouldn't respond. And when the drama with Summer happened, he became a little uncontrollable. He was always popular though, and he was that kid who could go from to every group and have them talk to him. He's a really friendly guy, and his hearts in the right place. But he had no ambitions in life other than looking after his sister.
Then Summer went to Blue Ridge Academy to work, and he decided to take up a job as a groom in a local stables. He finally found a job that kept him happy. He was doing something enjoyed. But, never one to pass up on an opportunity to travel, when he heard Summer was moving to England, he knew he had to go too. Taking up a job as a groom, he plans on keeping a close eye on Summer's new love interest. This could either go very well, or horribly wrong.
MISC.:
Rico. Rico is the most lovable dog you will ever meet. He's a large Alaskan Malamute at around five years old. Sam got him from a Animal Shelter two years ago. His past owner wanted him to be a guard dog, but there is not a nasty bone in his body. He gets very excited when someone comes to see him, or Sam. You only have to poke him and he's whithering in happiness due to the fact that he's had attention.
