SHOW NAME: Dappled Horizon BARN NAME: Rize AGE: 10 GENDER: Gelding COLOR: Dapple Gray BREED: British Riding Pony HEIGHT: 14hh PERSONALITY:Rize is the perfect gelding. He was gelded late, so spent his early years behaving in a typical stallion fashion. Since then, hard work has improved his manners no end, and he is polite in the stable, never barging or show aggression. To ride he is a dream, that hasn't changed. Naturally floaty paces have been carefully produced and he is a 'push-button pony'. Push the wrong buttons, or be harsh with him, and he does massive bucks though - you have been warned. HISTORY:Although he was produced and trained on a top yard (hence why he wasn't gelded), he was sold on to a not so good home. This is where his issues if you are too harsh with him come from. His owners were strict in making sure he was perfect, but being strong with him isn't the answer. Rize was gelded and sold on for much less than his true value, when his original owners picked him up again. They found a young rider to take him on and she brought him up to his original high standards and competed with him in America. When she left school, she offered him to the college, not wanting to risk him going somewhere where he could be ruined again. The college accepted bringing him over from America to be used as a schoolmaster. DISCIPLINE: Dressage OWNER: Park Equine College ASSIGNED RIDER:

SHOW NAME: Grande Victorie
BARN NAME: Vic
AGE: 7
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Bay
BREED: Selle Francais
HEIGHT: 16.2hh
PERSONALITY: Vic is a exuberant horse. Very full of himself he can be a handful to handle. He doesn't deliberately misbehave, he is just playful, but at 16.2 that can be dangerous. Not frightened of anything, Vic is the sort of horse than constantly prances with excitement. It take a good rider and a lot of hard work to get him concentrating on his work, but when he does, it is amazing.
HISTORY: Vic's aim in life (or his owners' aim for him) from a young age was to be a show jumper. Never really excelling in that, they tried training him as an Eventer, which is when the magic happens, watching him perform dressage. They trained him to a high level and sold him to a top dressage rider. When she decided she couldn't be bothered to handle his mood, she sold him to Park for a reasonable price.

SHOW NAME: It's Your Lucky Day
BARN NAME: Luke
AGE: 13
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Tri-Coloured
BREED: Oldenburg
HEIGHT: 17 HH
PERSONALITY: Luke is the perfect horse in almost every respect. He has impeccable stable manners, and is an angel to ride. He follows any instruction you give him to the letter, without questioning it. He learns new things quickly, and loves to please people. His only downside is that some riders may find him slightly boring...
HISTORY: Luke was produced on a top dressage yard in Germany, and spent his first five years being trained and competed there. He then competed at Prix St George level with a Para rider, and he was expected to continue to the Paralympics. However his rider suffered a (non-horse related!) accident, and he was sold to another rider who competed at the same level for the next couple of years, using him as a schoolmaster. When a friend of Mike's (the owner of Park) heard he was up for sale again, he purchased him and donated him to Park Equine College, despite the extortionate price tag the horse came with - apparently he decided that it was the best way to improve the dressage standard at Park. Mike didn't complain, and took Luke onto his yard, hoping to find a student that the gelding can be a schoolmaster for.

SHOW NAME: Unravel My Heart
BARN NAME: Heartbreaker
AGE: 10
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Chestnut
BREED: German Warmblood
HEIGHT: 16.2 HH
PERSONALITY: Heartbreaker doesn’t have a personality. This mare just does what she’s told in an almost robotic fashion, without a complaint or an opinion. She doesn’t seem depressed, broody, or even business like. She just is.
HISTORY: Heartbreaker was bred to be a champion dressage horse, but the stable went out of business when she was six. For the last four years she’s been in Germany, giving riding lessons, but the stable owner got worried at the mare’s general nonchalant mood towards everything and life in general, so she contacted Park in hopes that the training and intensity of one-on-one riding along with the competitions will give the horse a flame.

SHOW NAME: My Soul To Claim
BARN NAME: Claimed
AGE: 7
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Bay
BREED: Bavarian Warmblood
HEIGHT: 17.1 HH
PERSONALITY: This in-training gelding if full of feisty movement and zesty attitude. Claimed has talent, and he’s always trying to deny it, it seems, with the way he’s never been on the bit for anyone, and never willingly places a precise step. But he’s lovable for his playful nature, and the way he moves, as though he knows what you want him to do, but doesn’t. He hates to be collected, and loves to do nothing when you’re on him, or, to go fast. He seems to have two speeds at times – stop and go.
HISTORY: His trainer was also the man who bred him. The only reason Claimed is being given to Park is because his owner believes this horse’s talent is to be unlocked by someone other than himself.

SHOW NAME: Persephone's Beauty
BARN NAME: Phessy
AGE: Six
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Palomino
BREED: Gypsy Vanner
HEIGHT: 15.3 HH
PERSONALITY: Phessy is an opinionated mare, but she's also a complete sweetheart. If she likes you. She has a beautiful nature around those she enjoys the company of, and becomes very submissive towards them. But, if she does not like a person she'll make that fact extremely well known. She'll turn her back on the person, and completely ignore them. She's been known to nip, but never to kick, and is fond of standing on various feet. Her dislike for someone can vary. She may just be in a mood with said person, or she just flat out doesn't like them. Her grudges are very infamous, she's been known to hold them for up to two years. And it's not just with humans either. She's exactly the same with other horses.
Her stall manners are bearable, but could do with some work. Nobody has ever really taken the time to correct her as she's been moved around quite often in her short life. She's fairly playful, so she'll turn tacking up or grooming into a game if she can. To ride, it's touch and go. She wants to please, but can get quite frustrated easily. She's still young though, and there is a lot of training still needing to be done. Phessy has been competed on numerous occasions, and has done fairly well. But she hasn't ever really found the right rider to gel with.
HISTORY: Phessy caught the eye of William Chambers whilst he was attending an auction in the neighboring town. Though he wasn't necessarily going to buy, as soon as he caught sight of the pretty mare he had to have her. Phessy's history also intrigued him. At six, she'd already lived in three countries. Born in Greece, the mare was sold on to France at three. There she started her dressage training and was entered in various shows. Then, she was bought by a man in Scotland at five. He kept her for a year, and brought her on as much as he could before deciding to sell her on again. She'd been to various actions around Britain, but her owner hadn't wanted to part with her to the people interested in her, most wanted her for breeding purposes only. Then Will expressed his interest, and she was sold. He cannot wait to start working with her and pair her up with a rider at the college.
