PERSONALITY:
Maddy is a nervous mare, but is still very young. She gets confused easily and then throws a tantrum. She gets wound up easily and gets excited, causing her to prance and be unable to stay still. She is flighty and sometimes unreliable, but she is, as said before, still young.

When she grows to trust you, Madison is a sweetheart who you cannot help but like. She has a sort of bashful air to her, unsure whether to approach but really wants to. She dotes on Ieuan, and knows he is the person she can trust. She also knows that he will never let anyone hurt her, so while he is around, she is at her most relaxed.

She is still very much the same, but is a lot more relaxed when it comes to competing and working. She throws tantrums, but not as often as she used to and has a much more level head. She's still very nervous around foreign objects and hates large vehicles, but is getting much better.

HISTORY:
Maddy was born to a stud farm around Prembrokeshire. Ieuan's grandfather bought her for him and she was moved down with her current owner to south Wales. The mare has been with him for four years now and the pair have been working on dressage. They now have a good bond and her movements are improving greatly.

After her Blue Ridge days, Maddy has improved so much. She is now competing efficiently and could easily be called a pro. Ieuan has really worked hard with her, and cannot help but be proud of how much she has come on.

BARN NAME: Laurence

AGE: Eight

GENDER: Gelding

COLOR: Dark Bay

BREED: Arabian

HEIGHT: 15 HH

PERSONALITY:
Laurence has a little attitude problem, just like his master. The pair clash most of the time but do both adore each other. Laurence will not hesitate on biting or kicking his master and Ieuan will not resist telling him off. Laurence has been spoiled most of his life, So Ieuan's strict mannerisms are good for the beast.

The equine isn't very good with horses, although he sometimes tolerates Maddy, nor does he like other animals or humans except Ieuan. He nips at Ieuan's other pets, causing Ieuan to lose his temper and tell of Laurence which frightens the Arabian.

For all his faults, he is a pleasure to ride and knows when he has to preform. He knows when they go to show that he mustn't misbehave and tries his hardest.

HISTORY:
Laurence has had the life of luxury, he doesn't get used too much and only now is he starting to behave like a normal horse. Under the influence of the strict Ieuan and the childish nature of Maddy, he really is becoming to be a lovely horse. He has been competed in show jumping and dressage, Both of which Ieuan uses him for.

COLOR: Dapple Gray

BREED: Arabian

PERSONALITY:
Lady is a sweetheart, a real loving mare. She does possess the stereotypical Arabian behaviours though. Flighty and nervous, she is unsure of most things. She hates sudden movements and doesn't like loud noises at all. She views her stall as safety, and is starting to see Ieuan as that too. Being still very young, she is learning. When he first got her, she was much worse. She wouldn't step a foot outside, and now cannot wait to. She has really become friends with Maddy, and follows her around like a faithful puppy dog. Laurence dislikes the pair being so close though, and tells them off.

To ride, she's very much how she is to handle. Spooky and light on her feet, she doesn't need much encouragement to get started unless there is something that freaks her out. She likes the trails at the moment, and is growing used to the arena. She has beautiful movements but doesn't concentrate as well as she should. Ieuan is still hoping she'll grow out of it.

HISTORY:
Ieuan bought her from an Auction that he was passing through one day. The owner didn't know much about her as she had found the mare when she was a filly. Ieuan knew that she had been hand raised but apart from that, the woman had nothing else to say. In the short two months that he has owned her, he's managed to break her and they are still working on the basics. She's doing well and it shouldn't be long before she starts with the dressage training that both Laurence and Maddy went through with Ieuan.

AGE: Five

COLOR: Bay leopard

BREED: Appaloosa

HEIGHT: 15.2 HH

PERSONALITY: Dotty is a highly strung mare who still has a lot to learn. She can be pushy and bossy, and really needs someone to put her in her place. She will try it on with everyone, and gets completely offended when she’s told off. She is very stroppy, and will completely blank a person if she believes they’ve done her wrong. Her stall manners are terrible, she’s has little patience for anyone. She is still very young though, and hasn’t had the right person teaching her manner yet. She’s been allowed to walk all over people before now. Her riding manners are a bit better, and she’s come on a lot in what she’s been trained in. It shows how intelligent she is too, and that she is actually willing to work. The cross country mare is a dream on the course, but just hasn’t had the right rider on her back yet.

HISTORY: Dotty has been born and trained at the same yard for her whole five years. It was a large yard, so they had little time for the intelligent mare. She got fairly neglected until one trainer came along and started to work with her at three. The woman brought her on as much as she could, but spoiled her too much to go any further. Now Dotty finds herself at the auction due to the fact that nobody has enough time to bring her any further. She has been bought by Ieuan Rees.
