PERSONALITY:
Ieuan has had everything handed to him on a silver platter by his mother, causing him to take advantage and become a spoiled brat. He does what he wants, he goes where he pleases much to his father's dismay. The nephew to Dafydd Rees, he hasn't been treated as well by his father's side of the family. They discipline him, and Uncle D' and Grandpa Dan are the only men he listens to, looks up to in a way. He has been known to be abusive, hit his mother on many occasion and not even show a sliver of remorse. Living in Bridgend, most people weren't as down to earth as in Prembrokeshire where his father was from, He grew up with the busy lifestyle and with the wrong people, causing him to toughen up and feel little emotion.
One thing Ieu has in common with his uncle is his love of music. Although the youngster's talent isn't directed to his vocal chords, he plays instruments beautifully. He plays Guitar, Piano, Saxophone, Violin and Cello, and when he plays it's like the real him shines through. A bad thing about it is that he knows he is talented and will flaunt it in peoples faces, he really is a show off. The same goes for his riding, He is talented, but looses some of it when he brags. It just doesn't seem as magical to watch.
He has a short temper, anything can set it off. You know when he is mad, he curses, he throws things, he kicks/punches things, he screams and shouts. Nothing, except his animals, can calm him down. It's near impossible to calm him without the aid of either his equines, dog or felines.
Although he doesn't flaunt it or really even show it in an obvious way, Ieu is gay. He doesn't hide it on purpose, he'll tell anyone who asks, it just doesn't show naturally. It's the emotional thing, he just can't show it.
The youngster has a slightly addictive personality, where he becomes obsessed with things. Alcohol is his current obsession and can usually be seen stumbling around senselessly. He doesn't like to be told what to do, and if someone as little as advises him to lay off the drink, he'll just do the complete opposite.
Ieuan doesn't do normal peoples humor, it's a dark sort of sick humor. He laughs at peoples misfortune, often making it worse for them, will never go out of his way to help anyone, he will cause hell for anyone he feels like tormenting. The only time he ever shows compassion or care is around animals. As said before, he doesn't show remorse, or any emotions apart from anger really.
BACKGROUND:
Pre Blue Ridge
Born in Bridgend, south Wales, Ieuan grew up like any normal kid, laughing, smiling, playing with his friends. He traveled every summer to spend time with his Grandparents and Auntie and Uncle and then come back to spend the rest of his time with his parents. He was taught to ride by his uncle, Dafydd Rees. Dafydd was one of Ieuan's only role models, the other being his grandfather. He would listen to Dafydd without another word. Then, the boy struck his teens. He began to act up, swooped up into the wrong crowd. He became abusive to his doting mother, his father becoming overly stressed and hitting the boy back. There was a domestic every night. Finally, now his father has had enough. Ieuan is being sent to the academy his Uncle works at, for Dafydd to try and straighten him out. Ieuan knows it's only a matter of time before Dafydd flips and he'll be sorry. But, until then, he intends to cause as much mayhem as possible. Arriving with two equines, a canine and two felines, the animal lover intends to make an impression. Sadly it's not a good one.
During Blue Ridge
Ieuan didn't change his ways, much to his uncle's dismay. He had a relationship, not the most conventional but it worked for him. He worked with his horses, and both have come on in leaps and bounds. His addiction to alcohol hasn't dimmed and neither has the smoking. He and Max broke up when they finished their time at Blue Ridge, there wasn't really bad blood but Ieuan wasn't best pleased that Max was leaving and took it out on Dafydd, who eventually set him straight.
Post Blue Ridge
Dafydd made Ieuan stay at the academy for a year, making him work with his horses for a while. So Ieuan has not left Blue Ridge until now. He has spent a few weeks with his parents in Wales, but heard that many of the past Blue Ridge students are attending Park, including Max. Max has no idea that Ieuan is coming to Park, and Ieuan wants to keep it that way. He has brought both Madison and Laurence with him, as well as his dog and two cats and another horse. He's sure not to live down his bad reputation, and even gain a few more enemies to add to his collection.
MISC.:
Crychau. Four year old male Neapolitine Mastiff. A real sweetheart and very submissive. The both cats rule the roost and he knows it. He follows Ieuan around everywhere until he gets distracted. He has an awfully short attention span and isn't the brightest crayon in the box.
Gwyrdd. Gwyrdd is a eight year old Calico cat. She's boss and knows it. She's the sort of feline that will sit there and watch your every move before deciding whether to attack. She hates Crychau and he often falls victim to her cunning plotting for attacks. She has Ieuan wrapped around her furry paw, and knows how to get him to do what she wants.
Glas. Glas is a six year old Rag doll cat. She is a comical little creature with a habit of getting stuck in peculiar places. Ieuan has lost count of the amount of times he has had to rescue her. She's very sweet natured but does boss around Crychau, but she is also the one to curl up with him in the evenings and doesn't leave him until the next morning.
