PERSONALITY:
Slumber has the typical stallion attitude. I'm boss, you're not. Deal with it. Thankfully, he does back down when you assert your dominance. Then, he's like a puppy dog. His adorable looks means he gets many 'Awh's' and 'Ooh's' and he knows that he is beautiful, he demands to be groomed by Josh on many occasions. His intelligent nature means that he will get across what he is feeling, no matter how long it takes. He's pretty observant and will watch what someone is trying to do, and attempt to copy. This is how he learnt to open his stall. He's very dominant when out in the field, which means that he has to be kept alone, otherwise he will launch vicious attacks on other horses. When alone, he is placid and very relaxed.
To ride, there is no denying that he tries to take advantage. He does an amazing impression of a rocking horse when he doesn't want to work, which is often. Josh doesn't like to compete with him as he hates all the people and other horses around him, so they stick to pleasure. The pair could easily give any Cross Country rider a run for their money though. To get started, he's a bit of a pain, but then starts to behave and the ride becomes a pleasure, not a chore.
HISTORY:
Slumber was bought from a dealer along with Josh's mare. He was the more expensive, due to his breed and that he was still a stallion. Josh didn't know much about them, the pair were in such a state that he just wanted to get them home. That he did and he began to work with Slumber who had never been ridden. He was surprisingly easy to break, it was afterwards when they hit a snag. Many have asked for Slumber to breed with their mares, and he has many offspring dotted around the place. Josh only does this when he needs spare cash, which isn't often. But, if requested, Slumber is available to stud at the academy.

SHOW NAME: Dearg Réalta (Red Star in Gaelic)
BARN NAME: Ruby
AGE: Five
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Red Dun
BREED: Bashkir Curly Horse
HEIGHT: 15 HH
PERSONALITY:
Ruby is a sweetheart when she wants to be. Usually, she is just happy to go off on her own and come back when she is hungry or wants a little attention. Her favorite thing to do is play with Helena and Boo, and Josh believes that she thinks the pair are her offspring. This also makes him think that she may have had foals taken off her in the past. She is currently in foal with Slumber's offspring, and she is really taken to motherhood. Her floor manners are impeccable until someone passes with any sort of food and she absolutely adores crackers. This is a snack Josh smuggles to her when he can.
To ride, she is the perfect lady. She doesn't play up unless something spooks her which isn't often. She's very responsive and quick on her feet which can give you a little jolt when she starts up unless you are used to her. She does love a good trail ride, but the cross country course is her home. She lives on it and will be back on it as soon as her foal is weaned.
HISTORY:
Ruby came from the same dealer as Slumber, but the pair are in no way related. Where as Slumber had never been ridden, she had which meant that Josh could go straight into lining her up for the Cross Country courses. They did compete for a while before Josh decided to put her into foal. She is very near her due date and is ready to pop any day soon.
UPDATE Ruby has had her filly.

SHOW NAME: Doe Ray Me
BARN NAME: Ray
AGE: Eight
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Dapple Gray
BREED: Danish Warmblood
HEIGHT: 16 HH
PERSONALITY:
Ray is a cheeky horse, more like a pony in his temperament. Undoing the bolt on his door, chucking his buckets around, and occasionally getting them stuck on his head are his most common antics. When he is being ridden he calms down in that sense a little, but is quite forward going and doesn’t like to be given an instruction he doesn’t understand. If he doesn’t get what he is meant to be doing, he is apt to bucking.
HISTORY:
Ray’s early homes are unknown, but when he was four years old he was sent to a well-known trainers and then his owners vanished off the face of the earth. Getting a court order, the trainer became the legal owner of Ray, and found someone to take him on. But his life didn’t really get much better owner wise. Within a couple of months he was sold again, and again, and again. Josh has just bought him from the recent auction in town.

AGE: New Born
GENDER: Filly
COLOR: Chestnut
BREED: Bashkir Curly Horse
HEIGHT: Will reach 14.3 HH
PERSONALITY:
Mia is a quiet, reserved little filly so far. She's extremely shy and somewhat nervous, nothing like either of her parents. Though she likes attention, she's not sure how to go about getting it and is almost bashful if she attempts to ask Josh for it. She's not sure what to make of Helena and Boo so far, but it slowly warming to them. Especially Boo, who she's followed around her pasture a number of times before stopping herself. Ruby has proved to be an excellent mother to her, and is encouraging Mia to do the right and wrong things. Ruby can be extremely protective of her filly around strangers, but enthusiastically welcomes Josh, and others who know the mare personally, to come see her offspring. She's obviously proud.
HISTORY:
There isn't much to say so far of Mia's history. Josh had been gone two hours, walking the dogs, before coming back and seeing the pretty filly in the stall with her mother. Not even the grooms had noticed Ruby had gone into labor, so it was obviously problem free and easy. Josh can't wait to do more with Mia and already adores the timid female.
DISCIPLINE: Will be English, Cross Country when old enough.
