PLAYBY: Charlotte Nolthing
FULL NAME: Mallory Stevens
NICKNAMES: Mal
AGE: 21 years old
GENDER: Female
ETHNICITY: British
STUDENT OR STAFF: Staff (Groom)
HALL: Dakota
PERSONALITY: Mallory is very serious and driven. She doesn’t talk much about her past, and works hard to make sure her life outside of the college stays private. Some part of her resents people that have been born into privilege, when others like her, have had to work so much for so little.
Mallory is a good listener, and having grown up the way she did, is very mature for her age. She is independent, and often doesn’t ask for help when she should. She saves her money rather than wastes it like most kids her age, and she'd rather sit in her room eating microwave meals, than go out and spend a whole pay check on binging. Though most people think she's weird for throwing away the 'best years of her life', Mallory doesn't care, and already she has nearly enough money saved to put a deposit on a small flat.
BACKGROUND: Mallory was born into a low-class family living in a council estate. Her mother was a struggling single parent with a string of bad relationships and no way of holding down a job. Mallory had two brothers, but the only time she saw her oldest was when he came around demanding money from her mother.
School was never easy for Mallory. She worked hard for every single good grade and extra credit. Having grown up on the estate, Mallory was determined to not be stuck as a leech on the system. As soon as she could, she got a job at a local supermarket. It wasn’t long before she was promoted to junior manager, and every single pay check went into a savings account that her mother couldn’t touch.
A month after Mallory graduated high school, her younger brother was charged with aggravated burglary and sentenced to five years. Mallory was the only one in her family to visit him, and because of her encouragement, her brother finally got some help for his drug addiction. Last time they talked, had had picked up some contract work for a local construction company, and was finally starting to make something of his life.
During this time, Mallory had been volunteering at an animal sanctuary, helping out with the horses and other large animals there. It was the sanctuary that put her in contact with the college, and from there, she put in for a job. When she got the phone call to tell her she’d got it, Mallory gave notice at the supermarket, and within a week, had moved onto campus, leaving her old life behind.
