SHOW NAME: King Louis
BARN NAME: Louis
AGE: Fifteen
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Bay
BREED: Dutch Warmblood
HEIGHT: 17.3 HH
PERSONALITY: Louis is a reserved gelding. He doesn't look for attention, but wouldn't pass on it either. He's a gentleman. He's neither pushy nor clumsy. He has an elegance to him which he deserves, when he moves it is magical. Although he is getting on a bit, he's still a champion. He always provides the best results and tries is hardest at anything. He and Archie are very close and have a wonderful understanding. He's very submissive with Archie's other horses, and knows he comes bottom of the pecking order. He doesn't ever take a step out of line, he wouldn't think about it.
To ride, he's amazing. Very responsive and does what asked to the best of his ability, which is good enough for any rider. Archie would trust even the smallest of children on his back, but he is also one for the advanced rider who enjoys his precision and the fact that he comes up trumps against any horse.
HISTORY: Louis was bred in Scotland, and Archie bought him when he was teaching there. The gelding has now been with him for six years and they have a very close bond. The pair have won many a competitions since being together and are well known faces. He has been ridden by many up and coming riders, who come back every now and then to visit and ride the wonderful brute.

SHOW NAME: Black Tie Affair
BARN NAME: Tie
AGE: Five
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Black
BREED: Danish Warmblood
HEIGHT: 16.3 HH
PERSONALITY: Tie is the youngest and the newest arrival to Archie's herd. His personality is boisterous, but he means nothing by it. Extremely friendly, almost innocent in his ways, he loves attention. Already he has become firm friends with Louis, whom he adores. When the two mares attempt to bully the older gelding, Tie is often stepping in to stop them. He comes third in the pecking order, but doesn't mind at all. He's a little dull and doesn't take the hint when he is told off, but again, he doesn't mean anything by it. He is absolutely fascinated by Xander, always trying to touch the feline with his muzzle. Thankfully, Xander doesn't mind too much and will sit in Tie's stall with him. Another thing about Tie is that he is very enthusiastic about everything, he's willing to try anything. Archie likes this about him, it meant that he didn't have to work as hard with him when they were training. They don't have much else to do now.
To ride, he is very very fluid. He is elegant in the way he moves and also knows it. He'd make a wonderful dressage horse and Will is often begging Archie to use him for it. But, Tie adores the cross country course. He gets so excited before they begin the course that Archie cannot bring himself to take him away from the sport. Will has used him a couple of times for competitions and often tells Archie he'd pay top money for him. He's not a beginners horse though. He's as excitable as Louis is placid, and takes a while to settle. He has the off day where he doesn't want to do anything and will attempt to throw someone off. Archie is the only person who has yet been able to stay on his back when he does this.
HISTORY: Tie was born and bred in Denmark. Archie had been travelling out there and spotted the beautiful gelding. He was still a youngster when he decided he had to have him. At two, Tie came to Britain with Archie after he had had basic training. Archie took it from there, and has now been working with him non-stop. Although they have been together three years, he's still the baby of the group and is spoiled rotten by Archie. Thankfully, it hasn't made the gelding spiteful, but he does look for non existent treats often. He's been pretty successful on the circuit already, and just keeps getting better.

SHOW NAME: Mix and Match
BARN NAME: Mo
AGE: Eleven
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Pinto
BREED: American Warmblood
HEIGHT: 16HH
PERSONALITY: Where as Bee is hostile and down right grumpy, Mo is fun loving and very friendly. She does have a mean streak though, which she takes out on the two geldings usually. Bee keeps her in check though, making sure she doesn't step too far out of line. Her floor manners are impeccable, you really can't fault her to handle. She'll gladly follow you around, and adores even the smallest of pats as you pass by. She falls second in the hierarchy, even if she is second oldest. She adores Archie and would do anything for attention from him, and also loves Xander who is also very fond of her. If he's not with Tie, he'll most probably be with Mo in her stall.
To ride, she takes a while to get going. Once she has though, she's hard to stop. There is no in between. She is a little flighty and isn't as daring as the other three when it comes to jumping, but makes a good beginners horse who isn't attempting the more difficult jumps yet. Her flashy markings draw in the judges eyes when she competes though, which means she has a lot of attention. She isn't as highly achieving as the other three, but does rank pretty high when she does compete. She just doesn't do it often, she's more of a training horse than a showing one.
HISTORY: Mo's history isn't very well known. Archie is her third owner, the first being in America where she came from, and then was sold on to one of Archie's friends. When he couldn't find a use for her, he offered her to Archie for a very low price. He took her on and has had her for about four-five years. He has brought her on a little and has put her to work with some of his students, apart from that she doesn't really do much. But she is a favorite for Archie to take out on the trails to unwind.

SHOW NAME: Beyond The Sun
BARN NAME: Bee
AGE: Seven
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Flea bitten gray
BREED: British Warmblood
HEIGHT: 16.3 HH
PERSONALITY: Bee isn't a people horse, nor a horses horse either. She's top dog, well Horse, in the hierarchy of the small herd. She knows it too, and even tries to use it against Archie. Archie and herself have a love hate relationship. He loves her, she hates him. She's stubborn and uncooperative, always wants to do what she pleases. She knows her own mind and makes it a very well known fact. Very vocal, she makes her feelings known and complains about everything. She hates her stall, but doesn't know how to escape, thankfully. She just creates holy hell and kicks her stall door and walls. She'd rather spend her time in the pastures, which Archie tends to let her do otherwise he doesn't hear the end of it.
To Ride, she also believes she knows best but does provide the results. She does what she's told once you assert your dominance, but it does take a while. She'll go over any jump with no hesitation, she doesn't seem to have the fear that some equines do show. She's a well known name in the circuit, maybe not always paired with Archie but he has been her owner since she was a filly. She's the sort of mare that is always on an off day, so Archie knows her inside and out, and is thankfully always prepared for her tricks.
HISTORY: Bred to an inexperienced breeder, with a mare at the same level, Bee was abandoned when she was very young. She had been born in England, Sussex to be precise which was where Archie grew up. Picked up by Archie's mother, she handed the filly onto her son, knowing how fond he was of Warmbloods. He and the filly became inseparable until she hit two. She then turned into the madame she is now. Still, he kept her and has been his longest running companion. With an unknown heritage, her parents are unbeknown to Archie but she does have the Cross Country gene in there somewhere, she excels in the sport.
