SHOW NAME: Roadblocks BARN NAME: Roadie AGE: 12 years GENDER: Gelding COLOR: Gray BREED: Thoroughbred HEIGHT: 15.2hh PERSONALITY: Roadie is a friendly horse, he loves a cuddle and will stand all day to be fussed over. He isn't lazy, easy-going is a better way to describe him. His stable manners are almost impeccable - the only thing close to a flaw is that he destroys haynets. Yes, completely destroys them. If you leave a haynet in his stable for more then a few minutes it will become shreds on the floor. Water buckets, feed buckets and rugs can all take a fair beating too. To ride though, he is much less destructive. Roadie excels at Show-Jumping, but is willing to turn a hand to anything you ask of him. He's responsive and pretty easy to ride, he doesn't spook easily and never throws a buck just for the hell of it. The only time you need to watch him is water jumps on a cross-country course. For some unknown reason he hates them with a vengance, and will stand on his hind legs rather than enter the water. HISTORY: Roadie spent his early year as a Dressage horse, which is the discipline he was originally bred for. He competed in low-level classes, but never really had the natural flair for the sport. His original breeder sold him on to a teenager when Roadie was eight, and she taught him show-jumping and also used him for Pony Club, meaning the gelding had a chance at everything. Show-Jumping became his life for the next few years, and the teen travelled around the country with him at some pretty high level competitions. Now she is leaving for University and wants Roadie to be able to carry on being loved rather than coming second to studying. With the college close by, she hopes either someone from the college or the college itself with purchase him and give him some love. DISCIPLINE: English - Show-Jumping/All-Round BUYER: Spencer Dalca
