Mayor Elections

I know there has been anticipation to when I would get this up, so here it goes. I'm going to be keeping the Mayor Elections as realistic as possible, so there are going to be many restrictions and rules for this. Here is the list as followed:

• You must be active at least every two days. You cannot even apply for a character to take over the Mayor role if your only online at weekends etc. If you are away for a while, this is understandable but any longer than two weeks, your character shall be removed from it's position and another election shall be held.
  
  
• The character you apply with has to be OVER 50. They can be male or female, that doesn't matter but the age does. Most of you are probably thinking, well that's unfair. No it's not. It's realistic. You do not get many 20, 30, 40 year old mayors. The towns look for experienced men or women to care for their towns, not someone who looks like they have just left school. Your character can also not have another job, they must be in the town for the purpose of trying to be mayor only. Afterwards, if your character isn't chosen, they can move away or take up a job in another place in town.
  
  
• Your character must have a post which shows them giving a speech on how they would help the town. There is no way you can get out of this. Your character is responsible of taking the complaints or constructive criticism of others and trying to improve the town. Your character shall also be in charge of hosting events for the whole town. They must be willing to do so and must be social and charismatic. What point is there in having a mayor that hides behind his desk and shuns people. A speech will show the confidence your character possesses for him to become a considerable candidate.
  
  
• The mayor shall be decided by the other characters in town. Characters must be 16 and above to vote, and it shall all be done at the town hall in complete confidentiality. The week before the voting takes place, there will be the speech from each candidate. There shall also be a town wide dinner to which everyone is invited, even the youngsters.
  
  
• When voting for the mayor with your character, you can only vote for your own mayor candidate TWICE. This limits the unfair voting of having your characters who aren't in the election voting for your character that is. Like it or lump it.

FULL NAME: Coral Fincham
AGE: 50 years
PAST OCCUPATION: When I left school I had a gap year traveling and working with various international charities. I then went to Cambridge University, studying Business and French. I spent the next few years as a housewife and concentrating on raising my daughters. Once they were old enough I spent some time working in various nursery's for children of those studying at university, and then for the past five years I worked as a Nanny for two families.
WHERE IN TOWN DO YOU LIVE: I have recently moved to Cedar Street, where I live with my grand-daughter and -during the holidays- my daughter who attends Park Equine College.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU LIVED IN PARK: I moved to Park several months ago now, looking for a change of scenery.
HOW YOU WOULD IMPROVE THE TOWN: If I could improve the town I would do so by making sure that there are adequate facilities for recreation of all age groups, currently the town rather focuses on teenagers due to the college. Another thing I would do would be to start a primary school and nursery school within Park. Perhaps this is because of my background in that area, but currently young children are having to travel a long way to reach these facilities.
WHAT YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT LIVING HERE: The thing I like most about living in Park is the wonderful sense of community. Even just walking to the grocery store you can be sure to get in a conversation with someone friendly - be it a teenager or someone your own age.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PLACE IN TOWN: My favorite place in town is either Willow Lake or the Town Hall. I cannot decide between the two, so I will give my reasons for both. I love the atmosphere and beauty and Willow Lake. People of all ages can enjoy the stunning surrounding and there is always something fun going on, yet enough room to be peaceful alongside it. My ex-husband was an architect, and I think some of his love of amazing buildings must have rubbed off on me. One of my hobbies is photography, and the magnificent building is one of my favorite things to take pictures of.
