PERSONALITY: Amsera is a boisterous boy, not having calmed down yet at 10 years old. He doesn't mean to be dangerous or seem aggressive, but he exhibits typical stallion behaviors. To handle he could simply be called difficult, he can be strong and sometimes quite bolshy. When he is being ridden, although he is a handful, Amsera is more manageable. He rarely bucks, but rears a couple of times a week - normally due to excitement.
HISTORY: Amsera was bred as a race-horse, and spent the first 5 years of his life doing just that. He was a fairly successful horse, not of international fame, but nationally known within the racing circuit. At 5 years old he was sold as his owners couldn't afford his training fees any longer. Rather than sensibly sell him for a large sum to a well-known racing figure, they sold him for a small price to their friend who was interested in starting a stud farm. It took Amsera only a couple of coverings to realize what his new job was about, and the couple found them with a horse they couldn't handle. When Ed's grandfather heard about the horse, he stepped in and paid a ridiculously tiny amount of what the horse was worth. Ed was living with his grandparents by that time, and he quickly bonded with the stallion. Since then Amsera has stayed with Ed, going to college with him and then here, being retrained as an English riding horse along the way.
