Google has been offering a mobile search application for several years . The firm launched Google Now in order to better support users and this time, it is what we could call Google Feed that is taking over. The objective of Feed is to offer each reader news and information that is truly linked to each person's expectations , thanks to machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms .
Introducing Feed in Google's mobile app
When we use Google's mobile app, it can offer us news off page seo service content, but often without advanced personalization. That's why Google Feed was launched in December 2016, then updated on July 19, 2017. Now, algorithms can suggest much more appropriate topics for each of us . Of course, this is only a first step, so don't expect Google to read your mind, but the idea of search intent mixed with each person's interests can offer good results. The press release states:
We’ve advanced our machine learning algorithms to better anticipate what’s interesting and important to you (...). And now, your News Feed isn’t just based on your interactions with Google, it’s also based on what’s happening in your region or around the world. The more you use Google, the better your News Feed will be.
Beyond the little com' that tells users to use Google Feed, the substance is real. Machine learning algorithms are better when they know you better , so the more you use the application, the more the suggestions offered will be refined and in line with your expectations. It will never be perfect, but we are seeing clear progress in the analysis of search intentions, so this is a new step forward...
In use, Google Feed has nothing very complex to offer. You have a scrolling of subjects by theme (sports, news, music, video...). When you select information that suits you, you can "subscribe" using the "Follow" button, like in a classic social network, so to speak.
