Simon grimaced as he started the Land Rover, a sad clunking sound coming from the engine as he did so. He was planning on seeing Hayden anyway, but now it was going to be in entirely different circumstances. His main mission had been Christmas shopping, the holiday only a couple of days away and Simon being unplanned as always, had completely forgotten until his twin had reminded him about it. This time the holiday travelling was reversed, their father coming to visit them. SJ's parents were also arriving the day after next, and it was going to be one heck of a family dinner.
With the Rover coughing and spluttering like an elderly person, Simon clunked into the town, people looking at him oddly as he did so. Sighing, he turned onto the street with the garage, and made it just in time. As he stopped the truck, the engine finally gave a loud, clunking cough and died. Grumbling, Simon exited the hunter green vehicle and slammed the door. Hello? he called into the seemingly empty garage and he started looking for Hayden or Libby.

Libby sighed as yet another car rolled into the garage, its engine wheezing painfully. She had no idea why, but this time of year everything seemed to break down. Eyeing the small fiat distastefully, she gestured the driver out to the office. "Elizabeth will see to you, and we'll be sure to call you when the car is fixed." she told him as brightly as she could manage, though the words were obviously rehearsed. She'd said them way too many times to count. Sighing deeply once again, she rolled over the tool box to the car before reaching inside the vehicle for the catch to unlock the hood and soon set to work.
Hayden rolled out from underneath the BMW he'd just finished fixing with a small grin of accomplishment on his face. He glanced over to Libby, who was working furiously on the small fiat, a deep frown etched on her expression. Hayden's smile formed into a smirk, knowing how frustrated she got on their busier days. There was no doubt that she was the less tolerant of the pair. Just as he was making his way to tell Elizabeth to call the owner of the BMW, a spluttering sounded from the front of the garage, loud enough to reach them right up the back. Libby and Hayden shared an exasperated glance, before Hayden's attention snapped to the vocals sounding faintly at the entrance of the garage. He knew that voice very well.
"SIMON!" he called in delight, rushing forward to meet him. He immediately wrapped his arms around the taller male, holding him in a tight hug. He reached up and placed a sweet kiss on his lips in greeting, and as he pulled back he remembered the awful noise coming from a car that had just pulled up. "What on earth have you done to your Land Rover?" he demanded, looking at the hunter green vehicle mournfully. The poor thing sounded like it had just given up and died. Yeah, he really had been spending too much time around vehicles and Libby if he was beginning to sympathize with the car.

Simon heard his name being shouted before he saw the person who shouted it. That voice had been so familiar, but he hadn't seen his boyfriend in a while. It seemed that College was taking a slow turn until after the winter break. With a steady grin in place, he returned the hug to the male, grimacing slightly as noticed the oil on Hayden. No oil on the Gucci please love, he said, his tone teasing and his grin back in place. Going back to the driver's side, he popped the bonnet to allow access to the engine. I don't know. My poor baby just decided to die on me today, he said, his tone becoming mournful as he observed the vehicle. Connor would kill him, because they shared the Land Rover, but thankfully SJ would pacify him with her car.
I think Connor had a bit too much fun the past weekend, trying to find as much off road terrain to drive on, he added. Simon had heard stories of people finding ferrets and Squirrals in their truck engine beds. That would be something. Glancing at Hayden, he wondered where Libby was. He still hadn't forgiven the female for getting Hayden stinking drunk a few weeks ago, but it had become more of a joke, seeing that it had been the turning point in her and Tyler's relationship.
Hey Libby! he called into the back, only seeing a Fiat and legs, and he returned his attention to Hayden. Dad is landing on Sunday. Want to come to the airport with me? he asked, thinking it would be nice to have Hayden around. Afterwards we can go for dinner or movie's at your place, he carried on, knowing to make the most of winter break while he had the time.
