PERSONALITY: One word that would describe Olivia perfectly is driven. The female, when on the trail of something, will stop at nothing to get it solved or done. She's relentless when it comes to completing tasks or helping others with their problems, and has many effective methods to help to do so. She's always wanted, needed, to help others. It's in her nature to be a problem solver, ever since she was a child she'd be the first to step into a conflict and try to resolve it. Though she's a peace keeper, she is also extremely fierce. She gets a glint in her eyes that warns anyone that she's about to launch into an argument that they'll never win. She's very literate, so she uses her words as effectively as she can which will either confuse her 'opponent' or they just won't have the skills to keep up with her.
Her temper, though not easily set off, is very explosive. It's like a switch has been flicked on, and she just erupts. People tend to flee when this happens, and her rants had become infamous, because she literally petrifies people. As quickly as it occurs though, is disappears once again. As soon as she's cooled down, she'll search for those she may have offended and apologize to them. Though, if she believes she had a right to be angry, she can become quite reluctant to make amends. Eventually she will do so, unless fairly offended by a person. Though it may not seem to be, her temper is actually an advantage in her line of work. She takes no messing from her students, and can intimidate them with nothing more than a glare. She's also observant, so zeroes in on any signs that will give away if their lying and sees any differences on those that she's extremely familiar with. She helps a lot with distressed students in unstable families or have relationship troubles.
Olivia is quite the joker, and has been known for playing pranks on her fellow staff members. She's got a fun side that shows whenever she's in a good mood and knows how to get even the most grumpy of people to crack a smile. Her students love that she's so good natured when they need her to be, and the fact that she can take a joke and will have a laugh with them when she can be. She also loves to go out and let her hair down, a frequenter in clubs when she can. She drinks, though not excessively, and can either be an angry drunk or an hyperactive one. Depending on how her day had gone. She's a very caring person, as well as protective of those close to her, and is also one to be brutally honest. She won't hold back on what needs to be said, with could be seen as either a blessing or a curse. It gets things done though. And the method works well for her.
Relationships are not something she really focuses on, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have them. They seem to just fall into place usually, slipping in with her social and work life. She has never fallen in love, but isn't one to rule it out of her future. Nobody has just ever caught her eye enough to keep her attention. She's faithful though, and would never cheat on a partner. She has been known for one night stands, more when she was a little younger, as well as short term relationships. Long term? Not so much. The longest ever had been about three months, and only then it was because it was convenient. Though she may not fall in love with her boyfriends, that doesn't mean that they don't fall for her. In fact, she had quite the reputation as a heart breaker in her hometown.
BACKGROUND: Olivia was born in Hawaii, to a gay couple. They also had her elder brother and not long after herself, there was her twin younger sisters. They were a big family, and Olivia and her siblings never felt unloved or unwanted. In fact, her parents have been and always will be her role models. When Olivia had not long turned seven, one of her fathers, Roman, had been offered a job in California. It would provide the family with a lot more income and many more opportunities in life, so Olivia soon found herself living in sunny California, mourning the loss of her beloved home but excited by the fact that she had a whole new place to explore. Laguna Beach, CA, welcomed the family with open arms, and they settled into their new home in no time.
Not long after settling into Cali. life, Olivia and her elder brother Monty developed a love for the equestrian hobbie. The pair attended their riding lessons religiously, gushing to their dad's about the horses they rode, telling their sisters of what they had learnt that day. Her fathers eventually decided to surprise the pair, who's birthdays were only a day apart, with horses as gifts. Liv was then nine, and Monty 13. The pair were delighted, and instantly threw themselves into working with their beloved pets. They spent all of their free time at the stables, and eventually Olivia came across the two people she will always class as her closest friends. Summer and Samuel Holmes stumbled into the stables one day, leading two beautiful horses that their parents had not long purchased for them. Summer, one year her junior, and Olivia instantly became best friends. Sharing everything with one another. Sam, who is four years her junior, had become infatuated with the Hawaiian beauty, and has always harbored a not so secret crush on her. It would be a lie to say they hadn't acted on it throughout their teenage, and even adult, years of knowing one another.
Olivia was one of two people, the other being Sam, that Summer confessed her youth problems to. Olivia, being the ferocious female that she can be, had confronted said boyfriends that had been harming her friend on numerous occasions. They'd backed off for a while, but still managed to worm their ways into Summer's lives. For this, Olivia has never forgiven herself. They completed high school, Olivia departing to University while Summer remained in her hometown. Picking up a degree in Psychology, specializing in child Psychology, Olivia returned to Laguna Beach and took up the job as the Psychology teacher in her old high school.
Eventually, Summer moved to Kentucky and Olivia rarely got to see her. They still kept in touch, and she knows all the goings on in Summer's life, but it wasn't the same. Olivia and Sam remained close, but then when Summer moved to England, so did he. She was now working as the Vice Principal at her school, being one of the youngest at only 26. They knew she was perfectly capable, especially because she also doubled up as a councilor when need be. Then, out of the blue, two months ago, Summer rang up Olivia with news that there was a position for Vice Principal at the college that Sam worked at. Olivia jumped at the chance and applied, receiving the job a week later. Given three weeks to pack and move, Olivia now finds herself travelling to England and itching to start her new job and return to her friends sides. She's also spent the past three weeks on the phone to Dafydd Rees, the Principal she'll be working closely with. Picking up on the stress he was obviously under immediately, she cannot wait to relieve him of some of his duties and lessen is work load. Ever the helper that she is.
