PERSONALITY: Jade is the sort of person who will take no messing from anyone. She has a cold, hard exterior which is near impossible to break down and get to the warmer side of her personality. She is incredibly quick witted and has a sharp tongue that will have even the most arrogant of people cowering in the corner. She possesses a lethal glare and hell of a punch if it comes to physically defending herself. She can also be quite bitchy, and has one of the best condescending smirks anyone has ever been on the receiving end of.
She has an extremely protective side though. If someone has managed to get into her good books and she classes them as friends or more, she'll look out for them as if her life depends on it. She may not come across as the most caring, but she can be if she wants to be. She's bound to be the same with her staff, and will not take any crap from customers if they are threatening to her staff or herself. There will be no need for a bouncer to keep everything under control, she's got that job down herself.
This extremely intelligent female has brains that nobody would ever expect of her. She could have easily completed her A-Levels and gone onto University if she wanted to, but it just didn't fit into her life plan. She has knowledge that seems to just spill out when she doesn't expect it too, and is seen as quite wise. Especially toward wayward youngsters who are going through the same things as she did. This is probably one of the only times she shows compassion, and it was shown quite frequently in her old job as a teaching assistant. She's also extremely observant, so not much gets past her. She has eyes like a hawk, and it takes a lot to sneak anything by her.
Jade is bisexual, and also really quite promiscuous. There is usually a new partner every other week, but she does favour one night stands. She doesn't like having the emotional attachment that comes with a long term, or even short term, relationship so steers away from them as much as she can. The longest relationship she's ever had is just over three weeks, and during that time she cheated on the man twice. It's just not in her agenda to stick to one person, although she does like the idea of having children. So eventually, she may settle down. If the right person came along.
BACKGROUND: Jade was born in Spain to two very young parents. They knew they wouldn't be able to care for her, so she was instantly put up for adoption. She remained in the orphanage for just three months, soon being adopted by a British couple who'd been living in Spain for the past ten years. They were unable to have children of their own children, and had been on the waiting list for a child for about three years. Jade was perfect to them, and still is. The little girl grew up with strict, but loving parents, which shaped her into the wonderful woman she is today. When the young girl turned five, her parents decided that she should be growing up in Britain, with a better chance at education and with more family surrounding them. So they moved back to Liverpool, England. Where her parents were originally from.
School had it's ups and downs for Jade. Up until year 8, she was the model student. Her grades were perfect, her attendance never straying from 100%. Then she discovered the wonders of the 'bad' crowd. Enticed by the antics they got up to, how they would back chat the teachers and obviously looked as if they hadn't a care in the world, Jade was hooked. She soon descended in a spiral of bad behaviour. Neglecting homework, being kicked out of almost every lesson when she bothered to turn up for school, smoking and drinking and being an all round hooligan. She had been suspended on numerous occasions, and eventually expelled. With a fresh start in a new school, do you think she changed her ways? No way.
Year 10 in her new school ended up exactly like the past two in her old one. But then, in year 11, it was like a switch was flicked on. She realized that she wanted to do well. She studied and attended school, but still wasn't the best behaved. She was, and still is, extremely confrontational and would pick fights with anyone who just looked at her the wrong way. She had friends, but they grew sick of her aggressive ways and she was left to go it alone really. This caused her to build up her walls that now needed a wrecking ball to get through. She did finish her GCSE's, surprisingly getting the possible 12 with nothing lower than a B. It just proved how intelligent she was when she put her mind to it.
After sitting her GCSE's, Jade decided to attend college. In Newcastle. A fresh start allowed her to create a new her. Harder than it sounded. Though she enjoyed the child care course she was completing, it wasn't something she wanted to do with her life really. What she did enjoy, was drinking. Probably not the healthiest lifestyle, but she found herself out almost every night. It helped that it was rare for her to have a hangover, so she was never turned off by the idea of getting smashed and then getting up the next morning perfectly fine. Then came the idea of owning a pub, something she's hung onto since she was nineteen.
After three years of being a teaching assistant in a primary school, Jade finally gave it up. She had quite a bit of money stored behind her, from her adoptive parents and birth parents whom had left funds for her when they put her up for adoption. She knew what she wanted to do, and began searching for the perfect pub. That was when she found The White Horse. The pub hadn't been opened in years, abandoned by the previous owner when they were made redundant. Jade fell in love with not only the pub, but also the quaint town it was situated in. Park has already grabbed her interest by the horns. She's already been here a year but has remained hidden while refurbishing the pub. She also spent a lot of time in Liverpool with her parents. Finally, The White Horse is complete and re-opened. And Jade couldn't be more excited, even if she doesn't show it all that well.
MISC.: STITCH Stitch is a four year old female Jack Russell terrier. Though excitable and playful, she's also quite protective and territorial. Not as yappy as some terriers, but she is also a fantastic guard dog and will warn her owner of anyone she doesn't trust. She is usually moving from table to table within the pub, getting fussed and having treats given to her from regulars. She's quite the hit.
TOKEN Token is a beautiful six year old male Ragamuffin cat. This haughty natured feline was given to Jade as a present by an admirer, and the only thing she ever kept from one. The kitten captured her hear instantly and they've been inseparable ever since. His favorite perch is on the bar, sat observing his domain. During work hours, he barely ever strays from his place. He may occasionally accept attention from customers, or will lay across Jade's shoulders as she moves around her pub. He likes to be in sight of everyone though, and be able to see everything himself.
