Mike gave up attempting to do the paperwork that he was busying himself with, instead turning on his computer and searching for horses for sale. Cross-country was starting to build a small group at the college, yet they didn't have any school horses for the discipline. The male had been searching for the past few days, but hadn't come across anything that jumped out at him yet. Browsing through page after page, with one eye on the time, he suddenly spotted a horse that looked promising. Jotting down the phone number, he realized that the student he was having a meeting with would be arriving soon.
The young girl, Clarissa Ferenc, was arriving today and her father had contacted the college and asked for someone to watch over her. So he'd asked the receptionist to direct the girl to his office when she arrived and he would talk over what classes she wanted to take and such. The records from her previous schools showed she had got into a fair few fights and seemed to have anger issues. There was nothing he hadn't seen already though, so he wasn't particularly worried. Hopefully the meeting would allow him to get a sense of the girl and let her know that she could come and talk to him if she had any problems.
Hearing a knock on the door, he pushed back his chair and walked over. The receptionist was stood in front, with the female behind her that he took to be Clarissa. "Thank you," he spoke quietly to the receptionist before gesturing to Clarissa to enter. "I'm Mike Trevenian, the Vice-Principal here, and the founder I guess. You must be Clarissa. Welcome to Park." He paused to allow her to enter and walked over to the corner of his office where a few soft chairs and a small sofa were, for the more informal meetings. Waving his arm broadly over the seats to indicate she could sit anywhere, he chose one for himself and leant his frame into it. "So, do you have any idea what classes you want to take?"

He'd already left. The house was being packed up by strangers, the horses being brought to Hertfordshire tomorrow morning by an acquaintance. She leaned back in the chair, closing her eyes and sucking in a deep breath. She was sat in the back of a taxi, three boisterous border collie pups sleeping soundly beside her, piled up into a snug fur mountain. Opening her eyes once again, she looked at the three fondly. They were her going away present, and looking at them made her miss her father. Yeah, he'd controlled her life for the past eighteen years, but he was still her father. Pulling her lips into a tight line, she reached over to run her fingers along the soft fur of Karcsi, who'd managed to take the top position on the pile for once. The pup raised his head sleepily, yawning widely and kept his eyes tight shut. Blindly, he began to climb awkwardly over to Clary's lap, where she picked him up and held him close to her chest. The canine snuggled down comfortably, drifting back off into a deep sleep. Clary, following his example, leaned back again and closed her eyes once more. She too had soon fallen to sleep.
The red-headed femme was jolted awake as the vehicle squealed to a halt. A sleepy chuckle emitted from her lips, Marica could do a pretty good impression of that noise when she didn't want to do something too. Another grin broke over her face when she realized that she was to be reunited with Marica and her other mare, Ama, very soon indeed. "We're here." the driver announced, flashing her a warm smile over his shoulder. She returned it, and then looked down at the three pups still sleeping forms. Annuska and Zsiga were still curled up together beside the female, and Karcsi was still held in her arms. Adjusting the pup already in her arms to under one, she scooped up Zsiga and tucked him beside his brother. Then Annuska was placed beside him. The three were still small enough to be held together, but not for much longer. They opened their eyes slowly, squinting in the sunlight. Then, in turn, they all yawned which caused their owner to do the same thing. "Come on then sleepy heads, time to start in our new school." she murmured in her still native Hungarian accent, it hadn't changed even after moving to so many different countries, slipping out of the car. Her luggage had already been removed from the boot, and the money had been paid before they left. It was a pre-arranged fee. Slinging a duffel bag over her shoulder and then grabbing her suitcase with her free hand, she nodded her thanks to the driver and then began to walk toward the main office. She had a meeting with the Vice Principal. Oh the joys. she thought bitterly.
She tried to shove the office door open, it wasn't working as Annuska decided that it was the perfect time to shower her with kisses. As if the receptionist had sensed Clary's struggles, the door opened and Clary promptly tumbled inside. She became a tangle of bags and puppies, much to the amusement of the receptionist and some other students waiting around. Clary shot the students a death glare, and then fell silent. She wasn't usually clumsy, but the door opening suddenly had caught her off guard. Regaining control over the pups, she then looked at the receptionist for orders. "Right then sweetheart, leave your bags with me and then i'll take you to Mr. Trevenian's office." she said cheerily, which made Clary visibly flinch. Silently taking the bags to the desk, she placed them behind it and then followed the woman down the corridor and toward the Vice Principal's office. As they walked, she readjusted the canines, putting Annuska under her other arm. Karcsi had fallen back asleep, but the other two were wide eyed and curious. This unsettled Clary, she knew they'd be up to something in no time.
The woman knocked on the door and it took no longer than three seconds for it to open. Clary averted her gaze from the man, her way of showing that she wasn't best pleased about the arrangement her father had set up. He said something to the receptionist and then she bustled off, leaving Clary and the pups with the man. "Clary." she corrected him before stepping into the office, looking around carefully. Her eyes fell on the more comfortable seating arrangements as he gestured to them, and she reluctantly placed herself in the chair farthest away from the one he selected. Letting Annuska and Zsiga slip into her lap, the pair sat poised as if the meeting was directed at them. Karcsi was then adjusted so he was held close to her chest once again, a comfort to the both of them. Giving Mr. Trevanian's question a brief thought, she narrowed down her answers quickly. Her tone wasn't friendly, but it wasn't too harsh either. It was still pretty obvious that she wanted to be anywhere but here though. "Physical Education, Biology, History, Cross Country and Endurance." she listed off, looking up to the ceiling as she thought if she'd missed anything out. She hadn't. Unwilling to add anything else, she fell into a stony silence. She was being stupid, yes. But she didn't want to be babied all over again, she'd just escaped that. She was just making sure that it wasn't going to occur once more.

Mike watched as the girl entered the room, not looking at him to start with and then proceeding to correct him on her name. "Clary." he repeated to himself with a nod. He watched as she chose the furthest seat from himself and seemed to focus her attention to her dogs. The three little collie pups raised a smile to his lips and he quietly adknowledged them "They all seem very well-behaved for their age." He didn't have a dog at the moment, preferring to get settled with the school first. Mike almost grinned at Clary's tone when she responded to his question, it was pretty obvious she just wanted to get this over and done with. Okay then, he thought. Fine by me.
He nodded as she reeled off the classes she wanted to take. There wasn't any issues there. He knew the cross-country class was already pretty big, but the teacher would probably squeeze another student in without too much hassle. "We're having team trials at the moment," he started, realizing that if her chosen classes were anything to go by she might be interested in several of the teams. And he wanted to see her response, try and get her talking rather than sitting in stiff silence. "There's trials for cross-country, endurance and a couple of sports teams too. Would you be interested?" He drifted off into silence as he waited for an answer. He was in charge of getting all the teams together and managing them over all, finding coaches for the areas he didn't know well enough. That was something else to put on his to-do list, he recalled, sorting out coaches. He almost sighed, wondering not for the first time if he regretted starting up the college that now ruled his life. No, he concluded as always, how could you regret something like this?
