PERSONALITY: Ghost is a sweetheart of a mare. Her nature is calm and collected, never losing her cool and is the perfect balance for her owner. She's a very soothing equine to be around, and will attempt to comfort her loving owner as much as she possibly can. She's also a very quiet mare, rarely making a sound unless she becomes distressed. She isn't one to nicker to other horses, and wont snort in greeting to Amelia. She'd much rather establish physical contact in greeting. Ghost very much likes being fussed, and will look for attention from anyone will give it to her.
To ride, she can be either very enthusiastic or rather lazy. When she sees the barrels come out though, there is no stopping her. She adores the speed that accompanies the competition, but when faced with boring flat work she becomes very reluctant. She's also not a big fan of the trails, she becomes bored on them.
HISTORY: Ghost was bought for Amelia as a birthday present when the girl turned thirteen. Ghost was then six, and had been living on a small ranch before coming to Amelia. She'd never raced barrels before becoming paired up with her new rider, so the pair tackled them together. They did so with such grace and enthusiasm, that they knew they were made for the competition. That brings them were they are today, competing when they can or just practicing. It took a lot of begging on Amelia's behalf to have Ghost sent to England along with her, but eventually managed to persuade them due to the fact that they knew how much their daughter loved her plucky mare and couldn't bare to separate them.
