I've always lived like this Keeping a comfortable, distance*************************************************
Unfortunately, the sleep couldn't be allowed for forever. After all, even mild concussions are considered dangerous amoung the folks of the medical field, and so Chris was wakened every two hours that night by a nurse, and asked basic questions. What was his name? How old was he? His birthday was? The names of his horses, and their show names? Ages? Names of the two boys with him? Where was he? What town?
Even though Chris understood their precaution, he was starting to get moody from being constantly awakened. but, by the time the sun was shinging through the window, he was much perkier, and glanced at Max. The boy had been awake every time the woman had come to Chris. The teenager hated that his friend had been on the floor all night, but he had nothing to offer, because asking him if he'd wanted a spot on the bed with his boyfriend asleep in a chair a few feet away felt awkward and weird and just... Yeah.
The youngest was quite pleased to see Ieuan sleeping peacefully, and color had returned to his cheeks. It seemed he was doing much better than he had yesterday, but it was only to be expected. Cracked ribs and a cracked hand could not be the funnest way to end a day.
He looked at the door as the doctor entered, his eyes quietly anxious for the words releasing him from this prison. He hated hospitals, and didn't they ever did any good. His whole life had been obcessed with hospitals, it seemed, from his artificial concievement to his sister's death, and frankly, he'd rather get rid of this one pretty fast. The rape attempt was bad enough without this place to add to the memory.

His feet hit the ground with a thud, echoing deafeningly off the walls of the alleyway. Two men ran ahead of him, each one clutching another human being. Both were familiar, very familiar in fact. The alleyway seemed to continue forever, the male's shouting doing nothing to help. Every time his own speed increased, the captors' did too. Frustration welled up in his form. "NO! STOP!" he shouted, his blue oracles darkening with anger. Laughter sounded from the men. They turned briefly, giving Ieuan a glance of their victims faces. Max and Chris stared back at him, their expressions hard to read in the darkness. Suddenly, the men took off again, going in separate directions. Ieuan froze. He could only save one, but which? He awoke with a start, looking around in confusion. Sweat had began to form on his brow. As he looked around, he realized he had no idea where he was. His eyes suddenly zeroed in on the bed, Chris's awake form lain on it. He continued to look around and his eyes fell on Max sat on the floor. His brow furrowed. "Wasn't I-" Before he could finish, pain invaded his body. His hand screamed at him, protesting violently as he moved it. His side throbbed. His features became contorted with pain, and he sat back in the chair. His whole body ached. He let his eyes close briefly, before forcing them open once again. Just that small movement allowed him to gain control once more. He ignored the pain, and looked at Chris. He was looking a lot better than he had last night, and this contented Ieuan. His eyes then found Max. It was obvious to him that he hadn't slept, and the fact that he was probably the culprit of bringing him into Chris's room. He gave a slight smirk, but did no more.
"Max, have the chair." he ordered, getting up from the seat. Standing would be good, in fact he felt the need to wander a little bit. His feet carried him slowly back and forth the length of the room. More than anything, he was testing whether it hurt or not to walk. If he remembered correctly, he'd not only punched the wall but kicked it too. His foot gave little protest though, and his side didn't hurt as he moved. This pleased the male, and he settled to lean against the bare wall. His arms crossed over his chest, but before he could say anything the doctor entered the room. He could feel the tension from Chris, he knew he wanted to get out of the hospital. As did Ieuan. He pondered why he was still here, he could have gone home by now. His brow furrowed, all traces of company leaving his mind. He wasn't really bothered about what the doctor was saying, he just stared down at his hand intently as he thought. He realized that his hand hadn't been bandaged properly, the fact that he'd stormed out hadn't helped. Again, a smirk lifted at his lips. Now he looked back on it, he realized how stupid he must have looked. That amused him. Then he remembered that there were other people in the room too, and looked up. His eyes graced all three forms, tuning into the conversation finally.

Max spent the night thinking about everything that had happened. It had been an interesting few hours, and the more he thought of it, the more he wondered if he was making the right decision. He had earned disapproving looks from the nurse every time she came in, and she obviously thought that staying awake for any amount of time without proper sleep would have a negative impact on him. He wanted to tell her that he had gone through worse, and she didn't know half of it. Chris repeated every answer every two hours, and by the time the doctor came in, he knew every single one off by heart. Ieuan also appeared to be having a bad dream, and by the time he had woken up, looked throughly confused. Stop smirking, Max growled, catching the look. He got up, and stretched, before seating himself in the now vacant chair.
There was obvious tension in the room, and Max could understand why. He wasn't a big fan of hospitals either. He had no bad experiences in them, he just didn't like them, and the fact that they had crap coffee didn't help much either. Right. You can go home today, but no riding for at least three weeks. I want you back here in a week for a check up, Lestat said, before turning to the one standing against the wall. Before you leave, I want the nurse to get that hand in a brace. You have a check up in two weeks, he added, before leaving the room.
Max looked over the Chris, before turning his eyes to Ieuan. Dark rings underlined his blue eyes, and he got up suddenly. I'll wait outside then, he said, looking flustered. He left the room just as suddenly, wondering what the hell he was going to do about his feelings for both these males.
