Welcome, Welcome! Well hello there guys, it's time for another auction and boy do we have a good one lined up for you this time! There are a few rules you have to follow when it comes to posting your character buying a horse. There are as followed;
1) Once a character has decided to buy a horse, no other character can swarm in and try to buy it unless it is a prearranged plot. 2) Horses can be reserved if you have no time to post, but there is a limit. 24 hours is going to be this auctions limit unless discussed with the Admin or Mod. 3) One character cannot buy more than three horses, but if you have many characters, each one can buy a horse. That isn't a problem. 4) Remember, a character cannot own more than four horses unless given permission by the Admin or Mod. Same goes for students owning stallions and foals.
I think that's about it. There shall be 12 horses in this auction, beware they go quickly. There are only four reserves at a time we can have.
Now let your characters loose!

LOT ONE
SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER
SHOW NAME: Saturday Night Fever
BARN NAME: Fever
AGE: Eight
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Black
BREED: Friesian Sport Horse (Friesian cross Thoroughbred)
HEIGHT: 16 HH
PERSONALITY: Fever is a very temperamental mare. She doesn't like being told what to do, and gets very haughty about it. She'd never intentionally hurt someone though, but she does have a fiery temper which means she snaps and just sees red. She takes a while to calm down, but when she does, she's nothing like the mare just in her place. When she feels like it, she can be very affectionate, lipping at her owner hair and snuffling their face happily. She has lovely ground manners, and isn't one to be bolshy or stand on people's feet intentionally.
To ride, she's a dream. She's very focused on the task at hand and is almost bomb proof in a way that nothing scares her. She rarely gets distracted, she's the mare that looks around with disinterest when there is a commotion going on. She gets excited, but not too much where you cannot control her. She loves to compete and thrives off the atmosphere, you can feel the pride radiating from her when she preforms, it's amazing to watch.
HISTORY: Fever was bred at a stud farm devoted to the Friesian Sport Horse breed. The mare was a perfect mix of two champions. A thoroughbred mare whom had excelled on the cross country course before retiring to be a brood mare and a Friesian stallion whom was still placing high on the dressage circuit. She could have been used for either event, but it was obvious the mare had a flare for the cross country course. She proved to be an amazing mare to compete on, and due to this she was passed around more often than not. This made her a little moody so to say, and she turned on her last owner. The man had enough and has decided to put her up in the auction, hoping to make her someone else's problem.
DISCIPLINE: English, Cross Country

LOT TWO
NATIVE OAK
SHOW NAME: Native Oak
BARN NAME: Oak
AGE: Three
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Bay
BREED: Australian Stock Horse
HEIGHT: 14.2 HH
PERSONALITY: Oak is a mischievous gelding with a huge heart. He's awful at concentrating though, and gets distracted by the stupidest things. He's not flighty though, things that should scare him, don't. He's very loving and wants to please whoever is working with him, he gets very frustrated when he cannot do something for you. Oak is always up to something, you can't take your eyes off him for long. It may be due to the fact that he's still very young, and he may grow out of it yet. But his nature isn't to hurt, he's very playful and wants to be around humans constantly. He's very much a herd horse too, he likes the company of other horses and is very submissive when it comes to the hierarchy.
To ride, nobody is really fully sure yet. He was broken young and has only been ridden a handful of times since. On those occasions though he proved to be attentive and willing to learn, no real reluctance shown. He's going to make someone a lovely youngster to train up if they have the time for him.
HISTORY: Oak has recently been brought over from Australia. He and a handful of other Stock Horses were bought by a dealer over here. He had asked for many to be brought over, and it was a known fact that he wouldn't pick them all. Sadly, Oak was one of those. He has since been taken from auction to auction, looking for someone to buy him. The fact that the Western discipline isn't as popular in the UK, especially a youngster with little training, he has had little interest. Now he's at the auction in Park, his seller knowing that there are a lot of Western riders attending the college, hoping to be sold to a willing youngster.
DISCIPLINE: Western. Hasn't been trained in anything specific yet.

LOT THREE
ANDY
SHOW NAME: N/A
BARN NAME: Andy
AGE: Ten
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Chestnut
BREED: Quarter Horse cross Welsh section B
HEIGHT: 14 HH
PERSONALITY: Andy used to be a very sullen, angered gelding whom had many anger issues. But at least then he was feeling something. Now he's dead on the inside, unable to feel any of the emotions that he should. He's been beaten so much that it doesn't effect him anymore. He doesn't flinch if another horse goes after him, he doesn't even move out the way if someone comes near him anymore. He just stands there and takes it. His soul has well and truly been beaten out of him.
HISTORY: Andy had been a riding school pony from 3-6. The school then sold him on when he kept injuring kids when he went into fits of rage. He was sadly passed onto the wrong hands, and his new owner beat the living daylights out of him. He's not even a shadow of his former self anymore. A couple of weeks ago, a man saw this gelding in a field. He had an ulterior motive to buying the gelding, but now has him from the old owner. He only had to pay 50 pounds. Now he's bringing it to the auction, hoping to catch a certain someone's eye with the emaciated beast. Poor Andy's torment still hasn't stopped.
DISCIPLINE: Hasn't been broken.
BUYER: [/size] THIS HORSE IS TO BE USED FOR A PLOT, PLEASE DO NOT POST ONE OF YOUR CHARACTERS BUYING IT.

LOT FOUR
SHINE LIKE THE MOON
SHOW NAME: Shine Like The Moon
BARN NAME: Luna
AGE: Five
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Dapple Gray
BREED: Connemara Pony
HEIGHT: 14.2 HH
PERSONALITY: Luna has a personality of her own. She's a kookie little thing who has to be in everyones business at all times. She is always on the go and cannot keep still for the life of her. She's also a very restless sleeper and is up and down constantly in the nights. She still isn't tired during the day though, maybe it's sleep deprivation? She's lovely natured though, she has an almost childlike innocence to her that you cannot help but adore. Her stable manners need a little work as she can get too excited and unintentionally hurts someone.
To ride, she's a speed demon. But she's also a lot of fun, giving the younger children that energetic horse they crave to ride. She's cheeky and does try to take advantage at times, but if your firm with her she listens. She has a habit of rolling at unexpected moments though, and you always have to be on your toes. Thankfully, she hasn't hurt anyone yet.
HISTORY: Luna's history isn't very well known. Some woman just turned up with her at a farm one day, abandoning her in the field. This was just under a year ago. The farmers daughter rode her, and she'd obviously been broken and used before as she didn't freak out and knew her stuff. The daughter was going to university though, so they couldn't keep her. The girl is now bringing her to the auction to sell her to a good home before she heads off to University after the Christmas break.
DISCIPLINE: English, Pleasure. Last owner started her briefly in Show Jumping but didn't get very far.

LOT FIVE
MAKING YOUR MIND UP
SHOW NAME: Making Your Mind Up
BARN NAME: Mack
AGE: Six
GENDER: Stallion
COLOR: Grulla
BREED: American Paint Horse
HEIGHT: 15.2 HH
PERSONALITY: Mack is a pain in the backside. He's not the meanest thing you could come across, but he has a knack for winding up his owners and neighbors. Though, in the field he's very placid and laid back, he's not one to assert his dominance within a 'herd' which means he can be kept with other stallions and geldings easily. He's a very showy horse by nature though, always one to show off and have humans drawn to him. He knows he's handsome. His stall manners are almost perfect when he's in the right mind set, he doesn't like causing pain to others. He's very elegant in the way he holds himself too, not one to be clumsy like others. He's a real gentleman when he wants to be.
To ride, he gets very jumpy before hand but settles down quickly. Competitions are something he loves, it's as if he lives for them. He knows how to put on a show and really is a pleasure to watch. He does love the trails though and would spend his life on them if he could, making him perfectly happy to just be a pleasure horse if his owner wanted him to be.
HISTORY: Mack comes from a long line of Barrel racing Paint's bred in the UK. Scotland to be exact. Not usually a place you would think they would come from, but they are renowned world champions and he has relatives all over the world. Mack has remained in the UK though, he lived in Scotland for the first three years of his life before coming to England. He has been with the same rider since, but she has outgrown the sport. Wanting to sell him on, she wants to see how much she can get for him at the local auction. If it isn't enough, she plans on taking him to a larger one or returning him to his birth stables.
DISCIPLINE: Western. Barrels.

BARN NAME: Sheriff
AGE: Eleven
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Dun Blanket
BREED: Arab cross Appaloosa
HEIGHT: 15 HH
PERSONALITY: Sheriff has a deviant nature, he's always planning to do something wrong. He's way too intelligent for his own good and gets up to trouble way too often. He cannot help himself at all. He believes that he is boss and will make it very well known. He's injured quite a few people because he hasn't got his way, he favorite method of attack being a swift kick to the knee. But he'll also just stand on their feet and press down as hard as he can. It's obvious he knows what he's doing. He's a pain in the arse to handle and will not listen for the life of him.
To ride, he's very much the same. He believes he knows best and will throw you if you don't agree. He's had more people off his back than on it. He's a good competitor when he listens, which is rare, and has won a fair amount of competitions. But, more often than not, he'd rather play the fool. He does a very accurate impression of a rocking horse too.
HISTORY: Sheriff was bred at a stud farm in Ireland. His parents weren't anything special, but the little colt showed that he had potential from the start. His fiery nature meant that he was one to watch, and many have tried to tame the beast. He's had the same owner for nine years, but was finally sent to England to live with his past owner's brother. The gelding has caused nothing but grief and has broken the man's knee twice now. He's had no choice but to sell him on. He's looking for an owner who can challenge him for Alpha male and never back down.

AGE: Thirteen
GENDER: Mare
COLOR: Dark Bay
BREED: Exmoor Pony
HEIGHT: 13 HH
PERSONALITY: Secret is a pain in the arse. She doesn't listen. Ever. She will not co-operate with anyone and hates being told what to do. She's very vocal and will make her disapprovals very well known and doesn't shut up until she gets what she wants. She will lie down stubbornly when she doesn't want to do things and is awful for biting and kicking, she really is a temperamental thing. She's awful to handle and will not follow you. You will have to drag her most of the time. Her stall manners are appalling, she'll run you straight over if she wants.
To ride, she's as equally horrid. She's stubborn and it takes forever to get her going, there is no winning with this mare. She'll buck and rear constantly, lying down and also rolling. She's a evil mastermind, you have to be much smarter than herself to get her to listen. Good luck.

Her owner has finally had enough of her scarring the kids for life and is getting rid of her at the auction. She loves her too much though to just let her go.

SWEET DISPOSITION
SHOW NAME: Sweet Disposition
BARN NAME: Walter
AGE: Ten
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Gray
BREED: Percheron
HEIGHT: 17.2 HH
PERSONALITY: Walter is one of the loveliest horses you'll ever come across. He's very shy and will not approach unless he really trusts you, but has such a gentle expression on his face that he's hard not to like. He is definitely a gentle giant. When he knows you very well, he will greet you with such passion that you'd think he hadn't seen you in years, he really is a darling of a horse. He's got wonderful manners and he's not one to take advantage, you can do anything to him and he wouldn't bat an eye lid.
To ride, he's amazing. To sit on he's like an armchair and he responds so well to what is asked of him. He's always trying to do the best he can. He's not a competitor though, he's too nervous around people to be able too. He's a trail horse or at most a lesson horse.
HISTORY: Walter had belonged to an older lady all of his life. She trained him and was the only person to ride him. Sadly, she passed away a year ago and he's just been sat in a field. Her son has decided to sell him on and that is why he is in the auction. He'll make someone a lovely companion.

LOT ELEVEN
EL DIABLO
SHOW NAME: El Diablo
BARN NAME: Lucifer
AGE: Five
GENDER: Gelding
COLOR: Black
BREED: Hanoverian
HEIGHT: 16.2 HH
PERSONALITY: Lucifer is what his name suggests, the devil. He has a severe attitude problem that really needs to be straightened out. Deep down, he is a lovely horse but is very defensive. He has a lot of barriers that he will not let anyone past, but when you do break past them, he's a very loving and giving horse. Until then, he will make your life hell. Grooms hate working with him, he bites viciously. He doesn't kick though, which is one good thing. He despises confined space and prefers to be in the pastures all the time which suits people as they don't have to deal with him. That is part of the problem though, people don't have the patience to work out his issues.
To ride, he changes. He is flashy, yes. But he provides the results and is wonderful to watch. He behaves once the saddle is on his back because he enjoys to be ridden, it keeps his mind occupied. He even starts to behave when you tack him up. You really wouldn't think he was the same horse, it is an amazing transformation to behold.
HISTORY: Lucifer was born and bred in Spain, but has been in England since he was a colt. He was the horse that the circuit needed. His owner has finally had enough of his ways though, he hasn't had the patience to work with the horse. He is ranked pretty highly in the circuit for such a youngster. There will be many wanting to buy him, just not a lot who will want to keep him.

The auction house was just beginning to bustle with energy, when a plain looking white truck pulled up, pulling a single horse trailer. The truck came to a complete stop, parked into a spot and the door swung open. Soon after, a mid sized girl with brunette hair hops out and begins her ascent to the auction house. Jen looks like she just finished working around the barn, which she probably had. She wears a black hoodie, tan breeches and her tall paddock boots are pulled over the ends of the breeches. Her long, brunette hair hangs around and past her shoulders, free and loose.
Striding into the auction barn, she begins to look at the lots available for auction carefully. The first pen held a gorgeous black mare, and Jen's attention was briefly captured. A brief look at her info sheet showed she was a cross country mare, and Jen made a quick note to look back at the mare. The next few lots captured none of her attention, and she continued on the way. Once she approached lot number 7 though, a breathe caught in her throat. Inside, stood an absolutely gorgeous dapple gray mare and the black mare was out of her mind now.
A careful look at her info page showed she was a Warmblood, a young one and was trained in show jumping. The mare inside seemed to be unsure and wary, and Jen walked towards the lot slowly, extending a hand towards the mare. The mare's ears flickered back and forth nervously, nostrils slightly flared. Looking towards the person selling her, she smiled quickly before addressing them. How much would you like for her? The man looked at Jen briefly, before answering casually. Well missy, I don't think you would have time for her but she's yours for 4000 Jen chuckled slightly, pulling out the money out of her pocket and handed the money to the man. She gathered the lead rope out of her pocket, and clipped it to the mare's halter before leading her slowly towards the trailer.

Jude entered the auction barn, anxious to find a new project to work on. Yes, his other three geldings were excellent animals, but he was also looking for a new project horse. The horses that were held in the lots looked like nice horses, but as he passed the first 6 lots, nothing had caught his eye. The 7th lot horse was already purchased and was now being led from the lot, so he proceeded on to the 8th lot. The horse was a pretty dapple gray, and Jude paused briefly to glance at his info sheet.
The horse had a gentle personality, and Jude found it odd that the horse was a stallion. However, the stallion was trained in dressage and Jude was not much of a dressage rider at all. Shaking his head, he continued down the aisle, looking at the other lots. The only other lot that caught his eye was in lot 11, and he was a flashy black gelding. The gelding definitely had an attitude, Jude could tell that by just looking at him. However, he felt that he could work the gelding's issues out, and especially with his girlfriend's support. She would definitely understand taking on a difficult horse, as she had recently taken on a few.
Jude decided he needed to pursue the gelding, and approached the handler who was selling him. The handler had bruises on his arms, and Jude was slightly worried about the gelding's attitude. How much, sir? The handler appeared to be relieved when jude questioned and answered rather quickly. Man, just give me 500 and you can have him. Have fun Jude nodded slightly, paid the man and took a hold of the gelding's halter and began to lead him out.
