A smash from upstairs caused Jade to look up in confusion. Stitch had also started up a steady growl, shooting back into the pub and running up the stairs. Jade sighed, stubbing out the cigarette and following in the canine. Another loud thump sounded as Jade opened the door, Stitch’s growling increasing and she could also hear Token hissing from somewhere. Closing her eyes tightly, she shut the front door behind her and only opened her eyes again when she heard a loud sob come from Flier’s room. Her heart broke a little, but she was reluctant to go to him. Shrugging off her coat, she placed it back into the cupboard and tossed her cigarettes into the kitchen. It had fallen silent in Flier’s room by now, which worried her a little more than when he was making noise. Shooing Stitch and Token back into her room, she crossed the hall and entered Flier’s room silently. The sight of the man curled up on the floor, shivering every now and then, caused Jade to whimper quietly. Seeing Lace so close to him proved how much the dog meant to him, and how much getting clean would improve the pair’s life. Walking further into the room, she placed herself delicately beside Flier. She then carefully lifted his head and placed it into her lap, running her fingers through his hair gently as he slept. Her own expression was now blank, though her mind raced with thoughts. She had no doubt in her mind that she couldn’t help him get clean. It was struggling with her growing feelings for Flier that would be the problem. She didn’t do relationships. It had never been in her nature. Even now, with these feelings she’d been experiencing, she’d jumped from bed to bed to try and get rid of them. But now, with Flier living here with her, it was going to be much harder to do so. It had already felt like cheating, but would be a hundred times worse knowing she’d have to come back home to see Flier there after being with someone else. That would kill her. She eventually came to the conclusion that she’d just have to give it up. All the one night stands. All the flings. She looked down at the sleeping man in front of her, awed that she’d be willing to give that up just for him.

Flier was in a dreamless state. He couldn't find anything to dream about, his body so exhausted and worn out, that all FLier could do was sleep. He didn't even move when he felt his head being lifted, he just carried on sleeping, shivering and allowing his body to remove toxins and try and repair the damage of years of use had done to him. The more severe damage had done though, and everyday was going to be a long constant battle. Lace glanced up when Jade sat down next to her master, and moved in closer to the pair. She licked the female's hand, gave a soft 'woof' and pulled herself into a ball next to Flier's bare torso. Flier felt the dog, he had an instinct for it and laid a hand on the dog's back.
Flier became more aware of his surroundings as he woke up, but he didn't make it known that he was in a semi-conscious level. He felt that Jade was with him, the fact that she was stroking his hair and his head was in her lap, made it quite known. He thought, his mind a bit more clear, and he wondered what living with her would do to him. He knew that he had more than friendship feelings for her, but he was so used finding some fun in other places that a serious relationship was daunting to him. His basis for serious relationships wasn't exactly the most stable, and he feared the thought that he would end up like his father. An alcoholic and an abuser.
Deciding that he couldn't act much any more, he sat up quite suddenly. His grey eyes looked at Jade quite intently, no words being spoken between them. Flier took in her form, and he didn't know if he could say anything. Quite on impulse he leaned in and kissed her softly. Pulling away, he flushed slightly, but he didn't know why he even did that.

Jade’s mind strayed further as Flier continued to sleep. She didn’t let up on the ministrations to his hair, but she did take one hand away when Lace captured her attention, patting the pretty canine gently and smiling down at her. ”You‘re a good girl Lace. He‘s very lucky to have you.” she murmured, before returning her gaze to the wall in front of her. Her mind wandered, though now to more trivial things such as the rota for the rest of the week in the pub or that she had to get a new lead for Stitch. Slowly, her mind ran out of safe topics and strayed to her confrontations with Ethan throughout the evening. A shudder ran along her spine at the thought of the blonde haired male, remembering how unaffected he’d been by Flier’s outburst. How he’d never lost his ‘cool’. Jade frowned deeply, wondering how often he came face to face with angered addicts. The way he handled the situation made her believe it was quite a frequent occurrence. She had come to the conclusion that she was going to avoid that man as much as she possibly could. Jade knew exactly when Flier woke up, his breathing was no where as deep and even as it had been when he was sleeping. She didn’t stop running her fingers through his hair, she carried on let him pretend that he was still sleeping. A small smile had lifted at her lips though, mildly amused by him. Eventually, and in a sudden movement, Flier sat up. Jade looked at him curiously, though goose bumps prickled her skin under his gaze. Her eyes widened as he leaned in, though she didn’t make any attempt to pull away. The kiss was brief, but sweet and gentle. It should of surprised her, but it didn’t. When he pulled back, she noticed the flush of his cheeks. This caused her to smile softly, though her hand had come up to press to her lips that were still tingling from the kiss. She locked eyes with him, her expression falling serious. Her eyes shone in the darkness of the room, alight with confusion, but also desire. ”F**k it.” she suddenly muttered, leaning in and recapturing his lips. She probably shouldn’t, because it would make everything more complicated. But right now, it felt right.

Flier gouged Jade's reactions to his actions. He wanted to kiss her again, open up himself completely to her, be the person no one else had seen before. Technically, she wasn't his boss any more, so there weren't any rules being broken and if they did end up sleeping together, then there was a chance for him. Now before his demons came back and haunted him for a few days. Now before he became his violent self. Only after his body and mind was clean again would he try this sort of thing. He knew the process and tomorrow he would be too consumed by the dark crevices of his mind to be able to know what happened.
Once Jade recaptured his lips after what seemed like an eternity, he grinned. Cupping her face gently, he savoured the moment. He knew his own power and the one thing he didn't want to do was hurt the female. Flier broke the kiss, and looked at her intently. His grey eyes took in every feature on her face, before lifting her gently and lowering her on the bed. Flier kissed her gently, his mouth roaming her neck, and his hands exploring her body freely. You're beautiful, he whispered to her, allowing himself to whisper what he had been feeling for the weeks he had been working at the pub. Flier never really talked and preferred something with no attachment, but with Jade it was different.
